1 4th edition, May pages XVI ESGA Masters Championship & Cup Senior Men 70+ DSG@post.tele.dk Dear Presidents and Secretariats, DENMARK 28 June - 3 July 2015 We are looking forward to welcome 20 Associations in Denmark for the ESGA Masters countries, Greece, Slovenia and Croatia, had various reasons for not coming. According to our written formal invitation in January 2015, the registration fee 350 pr. player and 110 for others, should have been paid by the 8. May Only 11 Associations has done that. We beg you kindly to transfer your registration fee soon. As for the information of names, handicaps, rankings and pairings of players we have already received some information, and that is fine, but according to article 2 in the official competition rules Associations must give their information two weeks before the first day of the tournament, which is 1. June Buggies. According to article 17, buggies are not permitted, unless explicitly approved by the ESGA Committee. Exception: If a medical attest during the tournament is given to a player who cannot continue playing, the Tournament Committee may grant such a player a buggy, if available. Further, it is the official ESGA Committee s position: That the ESGA Committee can authorize the use of buggies during the Masters 2015 in Denmark with the following restrictions : - on each course, the minimum number of buggies available must be equal to the number of competing Associations, to our knowledge 11 in Odense and 20 in Nyborg

2 - only one buggy may be allocated to each Association, even if some Associations do not use buggies and as a consequence make them available for other use. Status for our registrations as pr. 13. For The Championship (gross) ESGA members may enter one team of six players with the exact individual handicap limited to 1,0. All teams play strokeplay. For The Cup (net) ESGA members may enter one team of six players with the exact individual handicap limited to 20,0. All teams play stableford.

3 For the Cup, handicaps will be adjusted according to EGA standards (conversion to CONGU). Each team will designate pairs, to stay the same for the first two days (four ball better balls). The third day everybody play singles. The best two returned scores in the first two days and the best four returned scores of the third day will count. The team ranking will be based on their total. Furthermore, the guidelines of ESGA Rules & Conditions of Play are valid for the tournament. Knuds Golfklub (Cup) in Nyborg (3 km from hotel Nyborg Strand) and at Odense Golfklub (Championship) in Odense (30 km from hotel Nyborg Strand). Please note than we will not provide transportation from hotel to golf. Rental cars, taxis HOTEL: The grand Hotel Nyborg Strand, 1 km north of Nyborg, is a modern hotel with excellent facilities enabling us to host all participants as well as all the arrangements, incl. the final dinner. We have pre-booked 200 rooms. This beach hotel has a brilliant view to one of the longest bridges of Europe, connecting the two Danish islands, Fyn and Sjælland. Transport Nyborg (population ca ) and Odense (population ca ) is reached by railway (140 km) from Copenhagen International Airport, Kastrup and by rental cars. Billund International Airport (140 km) is also convenient (Ryan Air)
