(9 personnel) 8/20/15 Station hosted Sandills Children Center Pre-school (30 kids) at the station for a fire safety presentation.

3 8/20/15 FRC Lambdin attended the Moore County Chief s Association Meeting at Eagle Springs FD. 8/22/15 ATV Accident & Medevac (see Queens Cove Way (9 personnel) o Total of 2 patients, 1 adult & 1 child o Both patients transported by helicopter to trauma center with serious; but, believed to be non-life threatening injuries. o 8/26/15 Station visit & thank you from family, both patients recovering well. 8/27/15 Working House Fire (see Bibey Road (12 personnel) o Large 2.5 story single family dwelling w/ an attached Sun Room & Pool House o First arriving unit (511) found Pool House fully involved extending into Sun Room. o Fire damage contained to Sun Room & Pool House. o WPFRD responded with five (5) vehicles: 511, 512, 516, 518 & 519 Accomplishments Implemented Departmental Policy 4-3, Hepatitis B Vaccination Program o Overview provides access to the Hepatitis B Vaccination to all personnel at no cost to the employee. Satisfies all state and federal laws. Revised Departmental Policy 2-8, Requests for Assistance from Residents o Overview provided additional examples and procedures for responding to requests for assistance from residents. Conducted annual fit testing for interior structural firefighters in accordance with Departmental Policy 4-2, Respiratory Protection Program. o Program satisfies OSHA requirements o 21 personnel tested. 4 Two Flown Out By Helicopter Including A 4 Year Old After ATV Accident Saturday in Whispering Pines Saturday, 22 August 2015 Published in Accident & Fire Aberdeen Times An adult and a child were injured in an ATV accident in Whispering Pines Saturday afternoon. The accident happened near the end of Queens Cove Way off of Airport Road around 3:00 PM. injuries in the accident. Emergency responders were called after a 4 wheeler reportedly overturned with two riders Saturday afternoon. The two were a 37 year old male and a 4 year old child. Both of the accident victims had reportedly sustained head The two victims were transported from the scene by ambulance to the Moore County Airport to meet a helicopter from Duke Life Flight and a helicopter from UNC Air Care which transported them to a Trauma Center for further treatment. According to emergency responders both had injuries that were believed to not be immediately life threatening. The current condition of the two victims was not known as of this report. Responding to the accident were units with Whispering Pines Fire Rescue and Moore County EMS.

5 Fire Damages House Outside Whispering Pines Thursday Night Friday, 28 August :13 Published in Accident & Fire Aberdeen Times A fire damaged a twostory house outside of Whispering Pines Thursday night. Firefighters were called to the home at 488 Bibey Road shortly after :00 PM. The first arriving fire units reported flames and smoke coming from one end of the home. What was reportedly a pool room attached to the rear of the house was destroyed in the blaze. The roof and wall on the end of the house where the pool room was located were damaged; however, firefighters were able to stop the fire before the flames spread to the rest of the home. No one was injured in the fire tonight. Responding to the incident were units with Whispering Pines Fire Rescue, Southern Pines Fire & Rescue, Cypress Pointe Fire & Rescue, Carthage Fire & Rescue, Seven Lakes Fire Department, Moore County EMS, the Moore County Fire Marshal's Office, and the Moore County Sheriff's Department. The cause of the fire was under investigation as of this report.
