4 The Certification Program Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Requirements Black Belt Certification in Healthcare Performance Improvement Must complete the intensive boot camp certification training. Must successfully complete the TPMG s healthcare lean six sigma black belt certification exam composed of multiple-choice, essay and analysis questions that measure a candidates ability to apply the knowledge and techniques used by lean six sigma black belts and performance improvement professionals around the world. Candid ates will dive deep into the five stages of continuous improvement problem solving, and learn the specific skills and tools needed to Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve and Control (DMAIC) service excellence and organizational performance. Candidates must also complete a successful implementation of a healthcare performance improvement project within a specified but reasonable period of time.
