For those of you who might have difficulties in finding the lecture room Inge Schiöler we see eachother at the entrance to Lundberg Laboratory at the 2 Sept. Literature: Essential cell biology - An introduction to the molecular biology of the cell (2 nd Edition) Alberts et al., 2004; Garland Science Marks on the course: The final mark on the course will be the result of 1) the presentation of the function of a gene, 2) written labreports, 3) written summaries of research seminars and 4) the exam. The balance between the three in the final mark will be 1) 12%, 2) 19%, 3) 19%, and 4) 50%. Lab practicals and the preparation and discussions regarding the lab practicals are compulsory. Also the research seminars and the project presentations are compulsory. The group discussions are optional and it is up to you to attend and get help from the assistants, however, it is highly recommended that you take part in these events. 1
