They allow to quickly remove traverse marks and feed lines, eliminate chatter, follow existing geometry (including crowns) and consistently obtain roughness down to microns Ra or finer finishes on chrome, compressed paper, nylon, chilled iron,rotogravure, epoxy and polyurethane rolls and other non-roll surfaces. Compared to conventional cloth and paper backings, film backings provide a superior, uniform surface to coat with micron graded minerals. The uniform application of abrasive mineral with a unique resin bond creates the ability to provide a more consistent, repeatable finish. 3 Microfinishing and lapping films The Dynabrade s proven alternative. Superfinishing with Dynabrade microfinishing films also allows operators to choose a variety of surface textures from linear scratch to cross-hatching. All Dynabrade microabrasives provide a predictable, consistent and repeatable finish for all types of industries, including: steel mills, aluminum mills, film extruders, decorative stainless, paper mills, textiles, printing industry, copper foil electrodeposition and other non-roll applications. Dynabrade Microfinishing Film Dynabrade Microfinishing Film utilizes precision micron graded mineral particles that are electrostatically oriented, then resin-bonded to a polyester film backing to give an aggressive cut with a uniform finish. They are available with Aluminum Oxide or Silicon Carbide mineral grains and in 9 to 60 micron grades. Dynabrade Lapping Film Dynabrade Lapping Film produces extra-fine and consistent Ra finishes on rolls made of a variety of metals, plastics and rubber, thanks to its precion micron graded mineral grains gravity coated on a high strength polyester backing. Available with Aluminum Oxide and Silicon Carbide mineral grains and in 1 to 40 micron grades. Dynabrade Diamond Lapping Film Dynabrade Diamond Lapping Film is used on a variety of hard materials such as tungsten car-bide, thermal or plasma sprayed ceramics, (chrome oxide and aluminum oxide) glass, stone and some hardened, high carbon ferrous metals. It uses diamond grains available in 0.1 to 60 micron grades. 3
