1 Grammar Unit 2 Week 4 Monday A possessive noun is a noun that shows who or what owns or has something. A singular possessive noun is a singular noun that shows ownership. Rory s lunch. (Rory is one person; the lunch belongs to her) Form a singular possessive noun by adding an apostrophe ( ) and an s to a singular noun. The tree s leaves are changing colors. The dog s collar is too tight. Alex s grandmother is coming to visit next week. A person s name or a collective noun that ends in s also has an apostrophe ( ) and an s in the possessive. The men s suits are very expensive. Women s clothing is hard to shop for online.
