Description: A study of economics and applications for major categories of construction equipment. Operational characteristics are identified for equipment and applied to typical construction situations. Responsibilities: I evaluated all homework, quizzes, and exams; and held office hours for students. 2. Volunteer Teacher through GK-12 Program (Fall 2015) Course Title: Gateway to Technology at Lafayette Tecumseh Junior High School Description: Introduction to robotics and software programming through use of Arduino microcontroller and the processing (subset of C++) language for 8 th grade students Responsibilities: I developed the lesson plans based on state mandated standards, and taught the classes. ADMINISTRATIVE AND MENTORING EXPERIENCE 1. Graduate Assistant (May 2015-August 2015) Program: Summer Undergraduate Research Fellows (SURF) 2015, College of Engineering Supervisor: Ms. Vicki Leavitt Description: I helped with organizing and running the SURF program that recruited 160 undergraduate students for research in science and engineering. Apart from mentoring students in research, I was tasked with organizing and leading weekly seminars to develop research and professional skills in program participants culminating in their end of summer research report and presentation. 2. Graduate Assistant (October 2014-May 2015) Program: Engineering Leadership Minor, College of Engineering Supervisor: Dr. Monica F. Cox Description: The Engineering Leadership Minor offers undergraduate engineering students opportunities to engage in experiential leadership experiences and technical coaching across a variety of contexts. I administered and expanded the program scope through recruitment activities and seminar.
