3 OUR VISION Toronto FC is looking to embark on one of the largest and most ambitious Academy training ground projects ever undertaken by a soccer club in North America. The multi million dollar state of the art facility will be home to all of Toronto FC s training activities. It will confirmthe club s commitment to producing top homegrown talent for the future of Toronto FC and the sport of soccer in Canada. 6 BMO FIELD THE HOME OF TOP-FLIGHT SOCCER IN CANADA BMO Field is Canada s first soccer specific stadium and has entertained over 1,000,000 guests since its inaugural season. It has truly become the home of the professional game in Canada. The venue has already hosted some marquee events including: 2007 FIFA U-20 World Cup 2008 MLS All-Star Game vswest Ham United FC 2009 Toronto FC vs. CF Real Madrid Visits by international clubs like Aston Villa, Independiente, River Plate, Benfica, Glasgow Celtic, Pachuca To complement the growth of Toronto FC, MLSE has continued to invest its resources into BMO Field and is currently in the process of completing two major upgrades for the 2010 campaign: The conversion from artificial turf to a grass pitch A 1,400 seat expansion at the stadium s north end BMO Field offers a truly unique and unforgettable experience and is home to the most passionate and knowledgeable fans in North America.

8 TORONTO FC ACADEMY INVESTING IN THE FUTURE In 2008 we opened our Toronto FC Academy for elite player development. This program is fully funded by Toronto FC and currently provides 50 of Ontario s top prospects with the highest level of soccer training available in North America. The boys are provided with housing, meals, transportation and education in addition to their soccer training, and is on par with the best clubs in the world. It is our intention to grow this significantly over the next 5 years. Our Vision The Toronto FC Academy is dedicated to winning through the development of our players, coaches and people. Through the support of our club, partnerships and access to facilities, we are committed to developing the sport and culture of the global game at every level.

14 THE NEXT LEVEL DEVELOPING THE GAME Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment is investing over $5 million in community soccer facilities as part of the decision to convert the BMO Field pitch to a natural grass surface. A large part of this investment will be used to upgrade Allan LamportStadium, allowing the team to continue with its commitment to the community. The facility is equipped with a winter bubble and is the current home to Toronto FC s community programs as they will no longer be able to use BMO Field once the natural grass pitch has been installed. While this solution works in the short term, this creates a need for a dedicated facility that provides Toronto FC with a home for its training and development needs. It creates a wonderful opportunity to include community programming as well as providing a home to the TFC Academy teams. In addition, the city of Toronto and the surrounding communities are currently extremely underserviced in soccer facilities, particularly in the winter. The explosion of young people playing, coupled with the demographics of new Canadians, dictate that the region will be underserviced for the foreseeable future. These needs built the foundation of our vision to create a state-ofthe-art facility that will become synonymous with sport and player development in Canada.

18 OUR NEW HOME DEDICATED TO THE GAME Toronto FC s Training Grounds will be the Premier soccer facility in Canada. It will be a tangible connection: between the club and community, and between amateur soccer and the professional game. It will fulfill Toronto FC s training and development needs while providing over 24,000 hours of community usage to an estimated 1.5 million visitors annually through: Two (2) state of the art grass pitches one dedicated to the Toronto FC first team and the second a stadium grass pitch, with 1,000 capacity bench seating. The stadium will host showcase events local championships, visiting international team training camps, Toronto FC Academy games, etc. Four (4) full size turf pitches that will provide the community with 365 days of usage per year. The installation of a bubble over the three (3) outdoor fields will create all-season fields while a fourth all-weather field will be enclosed within a permanent structure A field house with direct access to the permanent indoor field will be the full-time home of Toronto FC and will include office space, locker rooms for Toronto FC s first team, three Academy teams, and all of the community groups expected to use the facility. The building will also feature workout rooms, multipurpose classrooms and much more Adjacent to the training field will be a goalkeeping area specifically designed for keeper training Drawings and renderings are conceptual.
