1 JOB PROFILE MTN Guinea Republic Title of position: Location of the job : Marketing Position Code:MKT-BI-01 Manager : Business Intelligence Number of subordinates: Level: 3 Reports To: Marketing Head 4 Mission/ Core purpose of the Job: (Short description) Conception and feeding of marketing information system via both internal and external (customers, competition, macro environment) sources in order to ensure MTNG have a good understanding of its business. Context: (Global influences, environmental / industry demands, organizational mission, etc.) Brand value Continuous improvement of policies; procedures and processes Department mission; policies and procedures Diversified technical and behavioral competencies needed Dynamic economic; regulatory and political environment High public expectation and often hostile media coverage which results in hostile public perception Highly dynamic and competitive telecommunications industry MTN corporate policies and procedures MTN group expectations of best practice MTN GUINEA business plan Positioning of MTN as an communications organization Rapid growth and expansion of the MTN operations

2 Key Performance Areas: Core, essential responsibilities / outputs of the position (KPA's) Task Complexity: Indicates those KPA s that are essential to the position itself. Implement the marketing business plan in line with global best practice guidelines set by management in order to ensure that the organization complies with the set standards Provide the necessary guidelines for the marketing team and function in order to ensure that the marketing objectives are delivered in accordance with the set standards Manage and coordinate all marketing, advertising and promotional staff and activities Conduct market research to determine market requirements for existing and future products Analysis of customer research, current market conditions and competitor information Develop and implement marketing plans and projects for new and existing products Manage the productivity of the marketing plans and projects Monitor, review and report on all marketing activity and results Determine and manage the marketing budget Deliver marketing activity within agreed budget Liaise with media and advertising agencies Elaborate and supervise marketing information system Ensure periodical reporting of sales and analysis of performances Ensure daily feeding of Marketing & Distribution dashboard Implement market research program Ensure interface between Marketing/Distribution and Finance/Technical in terms of information Furnish assistance in marketing planning Ensure competitive and environment tracking and benchmarking

3 Supervisory / Leadership / Managerial Complexity: Coach and mentor direct reports to ensure staff motivation is high Direct and monitor work of subordinates Ensure the team is led; motivated and rewarded to achieve key performance areas Guide and direct vendors and third parties in achieving MTN GUINEA objectives Identify staff training and development needs and implements necessary actions Manage the performance and deliverables of direct and indirect reports to ensure that the objectives department is achieved Monitor reports for accuracy and adherence to service level agreements Provide clear direction and manage performance of the team Recruit staff for appointments Set goals and objectives for direct reports, monitor progress and maintain motivation Set up appropriate structure to meet departmental management objectives Role Dependencies: Alignment with MTN Group activities Calibre of direct reports Knowledge of MTN business functions; key factors and key individuals Management information systems efficiency MTN GUINEA business strategy and MTN Group strategy Negative or reduced media coverage on MTN GUINEA Relationship with the management team and other stakeholders Relations with research agencies Co-operation with providers of internal data
