ALL COMPETITORS MUST FILL OUT A DAY ATTENDANCE FORM (ATTACHED TO THIS PROGRAM) AND HAND THEM INTO THE OFFICE BEFORE RIDING 2. ALL HORSES/HANDLERS AND RIDERS MUST HAVE A NUMBER - TO BE SHOWN WHEN RESULTS ARE WRITTEN DOWN. 3. Pre-Entries close with the event Secretary on 7th September This event is being run by the Ringwood Horse and Pony Club and all events will be run under PCAV rules. 5. All Pony Club members who compete in an Open ring must sign a Day Attendance Form when pre-entering or at the Office on the Day 6. There is a $1 per rider PCAV zone levy fee included in all entries. 7. The Open rings are open to any rider of any age. 8. All Riders must wear approved crash Helmets. 9. Pony Club Riders must wear Medical arm bands at all times. 10. Snaffle bits must be used in Pony Club and Fun Ring. 11. No Stallions, colts or rigs allowed. 12. No refunds given on entry fees or unused tickets. 13. Dogs must be on a lead. Pets must be controlled/caged. 14. The organizers have the right to change the program at any point of time. 15. Riding Jackets are not allowed in the Pony Club Ring. (Must be in Pony Club Uniform) 16. Draw reins, running reins, side reins or standing martingales strictly not allowed in any event. 17. Lunging is only permitted in the designated area prior to 9am. 18. A novice competitor is a horse or rider who has never won a first prize in any horse show or gymkhana (private gymkhana excepted). 19. No person/horse who has placed Champion, may be able compete in a similar class in another ring. 20. Warm up of horses to be undertaken in specified areas or at the direction of the Show Committee 21. No horses to be tied to fences or other Council property or fittings. 22. Organisers reserve the right to measure an exhibit should a dispute arise. 23. All rings will stop for lunch. Fancy Dress, Good Hands and Off the Track will be held at lunch time. 24. Horses must have competed in an official trial or started in a race, locally, nationally or internationally. Once a horse has won an Off the Track class they will gain automatic entry into the Off the Track series final at the Saddle Horse Championships held at the Victorian Agricultural Show (VAS) Saddle Horse Championships in Bendigo, January Qualifiers must enter the Championships under usual entry procedure. Class winners are not able to compete in the class for the rest of the season.

Ring 2 Lunchtime - FREE ENTRY: VAS Qualifying rules apply JUDGING FOR GOOD HANDS CHAMPIONSHIP Competitors will be judged solely on their riding ability, special attention being paid to hands, seat, general management and control of mount. - Mount saddlery or costume will not be taken into account. Competitors must ride using an ordinary snaffle, single jointed in the centre. The mouthpiece must be smooth and made of the same type of metal, with or without a cavesson on the noseband. A gear check may take place. Straight bar snaffle, hanovarian or drop nosebands, whips and spurs are not allowed. The VAS Good Hands Challenge Trophy Competition shall be judged on the same basis as the qualifying competitions, but the Judge shall require: six finalists to execute a figure 8 at a canter, ride away from the Judge, return at a slow canter, stop at the Judge's signal and back The holder of an RASV Qualifying Certificate shall not be eligible to compete at other qualifying competitions in the same show year. Winners are eligible to compete at the VAS Saddle Horse Championships for the "VAS Good Hands Challenge Trophy".
