I hereby declare on behalf of myself and my heirs that I will not hold Fort Jackson Child & Youth Services responsible for any injuries I or my dog or my dog s handler may incur while participating in, or as a result of this show and that I hereby release each and all of them form any liability or claims. I further certify that if my dog s handler is under the age of eighteen, that I am the handler s legal guardian/parent, and that I have read the foregoing waiver and release, understand its contents, and hereby agree to the release contained therein on behalf of the registered minor and of the registered minor s parents/legal guardians. I grant full permission to use any photographs, videotapes, recordings, or any other record of this event for any purpose. 3 JUDGING CATEGORIES FOR THE FORT JACKSON APRIL FOOL-ISH DOG SHOW April 14, 2013 Youth Sports Complex Registration: 1:30 2:00 p.m. Show: 2:00 4:00 p.m. Your dog(s) may compete in five of the following categories: 1. Best Vocal Performance. This class features canine crooners who could rival Sinatra. 2. Least Obedient. Any dumb ole dog can be most obedient. It takes a special dog to be least obedient. 3. Most Unique Trick. Waaaay beyond sit up and beg! 4. Best Kisser. Does your dog love to pucker up and plant one on ya or even perfect strangers? This is his opportunity to shine with a little doggy lip gloss, of course! 5. Most Diva-Like. This is so very obvious, dahling! Glammed up Diva dogs only, please! 6. Best Celebrity/Owner Look-A-Like. Have you been told your dog could be Cher s double? Or maybe Beyonce? Have you and your dog lived together so long that you re starting to look alike? 7. Prettiest Eyes. They say the eyes are the windows of the soul. Even the doggy soul. For the dog with the most beautiful winkers. 8. Best Costume. Because it s all about the accessories 9. Hairiest. Has your dog been mistaken for a rug? This is his category! 10. Longest Ears. The better to hear you with! Measured from the head to the tip of ears. 11. Longest Tail Measured from end of body to tip of tail. 12. Cutest Puppy. Awww, isn t he sweet! For six months and younger. 13. Best Senior. For the ahem more mature dog 8 years and older. 14. Most Mysterious Heritage. You won t find this at Westminister! 15. Ya Gotta Love Me. Judges choice of the most adorable dog.

4 Rules & Registration Information 1. Registration is free with a donation of an old towel, blanket, paper towels, dog food, collars, leashes, etc. Items will be donated to the Fort Jackson Veterinary Clinic. 2. Pre-Registered owners may report to the registration table at 1:45 to pick up their number. Late registrations will be taken between 1:30 and 2:00. All registrants will be issued a number which their handler must wear pinned to the front of their shirt as they show the dog. You MUST have a number to participate. 3. Dogs may compete in up to five categories. You must specify these categories at the time of registration. 4. Categories will be shown at a very fast pace. Please ensure your dog and handler are ready to go when their event is called. 5. Only one handler is allowed per dog. Handlers must be at least 6 years of age and able to physically control the dog. 6. Dogs must be on leashes at all times except for Best Frisbee Catcher and Most Unique Trick Competitions. 7. Owners/handlers must clean up after their dogs. Potty breaks must be in designated areas. 8. Dogs must have the social skills necessary to successfully compete in the show. Aggressive dogs may be asked to leave the area. 9. All dogs must have received a rabies shot before competing as evidenced by a veterinary tag attached to the dog s collar. 10. PRIZES: First place winners will receive a blue ribbon and prize package. Second place winners will receive a red ribbon and prize package. Third place winners will receive a white ribbon and prize package.
