3 EXHIBITOR INFORMATION Welcome back to Worcester Stables for our first fall show of the season! We hope you had a great summer! Bring your horses and friends to enjoy a facility which is truly the best in creature comforts for horse and rider! Come on in an relax in our spacious lounge, and we can even arrange for day stalls for your horses so they are most comfortable, too! ARE YOU GETTING READY FOR ZONES & INDOORS? For this show there will be NO SCHOOLING SESSIONS in the indoor ring, HACKING ONLY in the indoor before the show begins and between divisions. Warm-up Classes are offered. Warm-ups will be judged. Horses and ponies may be ridden in a warm-up by ANY rider ANY age of ANY qualification, and will be held as an open card throughout its division. Warm-up entry fees are $25.00 per round. Our Oktoberfest has become a well-attended and exciting show. 9 RULES AND REGULATIONS 1. Pre-entries can be made by mail, phone or Fax. Post entries will be accepted at no charge but pre-entries will be most appreciated. There will be a $10.00 Grounds/Office Fee on each entry. 2. Every class offered herein which is covered by the rules and specifications of the current USEF rule book will be conducted and judged in accordance herewith. 3. All hunter classes will be judged on performance and soundness with emphasis on soundness and manners unless otherwise noted. 4. The Oktoberfest Horse Shows, Here & There Group, Worcester Stables Inc, Briarwood Farms, Inc., the Horse Show Committee or property owners will not be responsible for any accident, loss or damage which may occur to any horse, rider or equipment before, during or after the show. 5. Should any question arise that is not covered in the USEF Rule book the same shall be referenced to the Show Committee whose decision shall be final. 6. Failure to enter the ring within three minutes of being called will incur elimination. 7. All fees must be paid and entry complete before numbers can be issued. 8. The Committee reserves the right to cancel, combine, change location or add any class(es) or schooling deemed necessary. 9. Ties for first place will be jumped off, all others will remain tied receiving equal points, ribbons and prizemoney. 10. All riders must wear proper attire including proper headgear at all times mounted on the showgrounds. 11. Prizemoney and Championships will be awarded at the conclusion of the division at the show office. 12. All pets must be leashed. 13. It is a condition of entry to the showgrounds that these rules and regulations be read, understood and accepted. 14. Jump orders will be constructed at the discretion of the show management by the steward. 15. A processing fee of $40.00 will be made for all non-negotiable checks. Any returned checks not "made good" within 10 days will be forwarded to the USEF for collection per USEF Rule XV, Art Minors who do not have a valid driver s license which allows them to operate a motorized vehicle in the state in which they reside will not be permitted to operate a motorized vehicle of any kind including, but no limited to, golf carts, motorcycles, scooter, or farm utility vehicles on the competition grounds of recognized competitions. Minors who have a valid temporary license may operate the above described motorized vehicles as long as they care accompanied by an adult with a valid driver s license. The parent(s), legal guardian(s), or individual who signs the entry blank as a parent or guardian of a minor operating a motorized vehicle in violation of this rule are solely responsible for any damages, claims, losses or actions resulting from that operation. Violations of this rule will be cause for sanctions against the parent(s), guardian(s) and/or trainer(s) who are responsible for the child committing the offense. Penalties may include exclusion of the child, parent(s), guardian(s), and/or trainer(s) from the competition grounds for the remainder of the competition and charges being filed against any of the above individuals in accordance with Rule 6. Wheelchairs and other mobility assistance devices for individuals with disabilities are exempt from this rule. Should the veterinarian on call be needed to complete permanent measurement of horses or ponies, then the appointed time for said measurements will be 10:00 a.m. ALL ARRANGEMENTS FOR MEASUREMENTS MUST BE MADE IN ADVANCE THROUGH SHOW MANAGEMENT. Phone (908) for information and procedures. Day measurements will of course be available at any time throughout the show day. Life, senior active and junior active members shall be eligible to participate in all classes at Regular Competitions, Eventing Competitions at the Preliminary Level or above and Combined Driving Competitions at the Advanced Level, Dressage, Reining and Vaulting Competitions and Endurance Rides provided the respective breed/discipline dues or breed/discipline category fee has been paid. A nonmember may participate as a handler, rider, driver, owner, lessee, agent, coach or trainer at Regular Competitions, Eventing Competitions, Dressage Competitions, Reining Competitions and Combined Driving Competitions upon payment of a $30 Show Pass Fee. Participants in the following classes are exempted from the Requirements of this rule: 1) leadline; 2) exhibitions; 3) games and races; 4) classes for 4-H members; 5) walk trot and academy classes (academy classes are classes limited to horses used regularly in a lesson program); 6) USDF introductory level tests, pas de deux and quadrille classes; 7) NRHA Endorsed Reining Competitions; 8) Opportunity classes; 9) citizens of other nations who have proof, in English, of current membership in good standing of their own National Federation, 10) USEA beginner novice division; and 11) assistant handlers in Dressage Sport Horse Breeding classes.
