2 2 Looking forward to 2015 Tuesday 28th April Boylesports.com Day The opening day of the festival is a real favourite with jump racing fans as it boasts no less than three Grade 1 races. Front and centre on the top quality card is the feature Boylesports.com Champion Chase with an all-star roll of honour including Sprinter Sacre, Master Minded, Sizing Europe and Moscow Flyer. Earlier in the day the Grade 1 Herald Novice Hurdle attracts the best young hurdlers and then later in the afternoon the Growise Novice chase showcases future Gold Cup hopefuls. Off the track and in the enclosures live music, fashion, tasty food and plenty of bustling bars keep racegoers entertained throughout the day. Wednesday 29th April Bibby Financial Services Ireland Gold Cup Day The feature on the second day of the festival is a race that requires little introduction - the Bibby Fiancial Services Ireland Gold Cup. The supporting card on the day includes the Grade 1 Irish Daily Mirror Hurdle and the Punchestown Champion bumper. Both races have produced top quality stars that progress to the highest levels. Elsewhere the many bars, restaurants and pavilions are alive with visitors from all over Ireland and Great Britain who return year after year to enjoy the sporting spectacle. Thursday 30th April Ladbrokes World Series Hurdle Day Day three is all about testing stamina and that goes for horses and humans! The three mile Ladbrokes World Series Hurdle and the four mile Avon Ri La Touche Cross Country are the Thursday flagship races. Even further Grade 1 action is on show in the Ryanair Novice chase and should you wish to become further involved in the festival why not purchase your own potential champion at the Goffs Festival invitational sale which takes place in the winners enclosure after racing. Alternatively sit back in one of the many bars and watch the bidding battle unfold! Friday 1st May Punchestown Champion Hurdle & Ladies Day Eight top class races take place on Festival Friday which features the Punchestown Champion Hurdle. This race invariably attracts current, past and potential champion two mile hurdlers and often creates a thrilling re-match scenario. The penultimate day of the festival is considered by many to be the social and sporting highlight of the week with Ireland s most stylish and glamorous in attendance for Ladies Day. Saturday 2nd May Festival Family Day The final day of the festival has exceeded everyone s expectations since its introduction six years ago and in 2014 logged the largest attendance of the event. Families, locals, overseas visitors, socialisers, work groups and team mates mix and mingle throughout the enclosures creating the most unique atmosphere. On the track all eyes are focused on the champion mares and the champion four year old hurdles. The champions of the season are crowned in the Punchestown parade ring as the curtain falls on another national hunt season. General Information There will be live music throughout the enclosures and the famous shopping village will be open for all to enjoy between races. The Punchestown bars are renowned for their brilliant atmosphere and with over 12 to choose from there is plenty of room for everyone. Gates and all facilities open two and a half hours before racing each day with the first race going to post at 3.40pm (Tuesday Friday) and 2.30pm on Saturday.
