1 Naked Tan Tanning Solution Ingredient List INGREDIENTS: Water Dihydroxyacetone Witch Hazel Extract Propylene Glycol Glycerin Scientific Ingredient names have been abbreviated. This is acceptable for local markets but not for export. Dihydroxyacetone, commonly referred to as DHA, is a nontoxic active. It is sourced and derived from sugar cane. Witch hazel extract is derived from the leaves and bark of the Witch Hazel shrub. This native American shrub can be used to treat inflammation and in skin care as an astringent. It is composed of gallic acid, flavonols and phenolics. Propylene Glycol, (chemical forumula C3H802) is an organic, colourless, almost odorless compound. It depresses the freezing point of water. Its low oral toxicity makes is an excellent solvent in cosmetics. Glycerin, or glycerol, is a soluble, colourless, odorless liquid, non-toxic polypol compound. In its crude form glycerin has a dark, syrupy appaerance, as it is a biodisel byproduct via transeterification. Beauty Dihydroxyacetone (DHA) is a skin colouring agent that creates a more natural looking tan colour and fades more evenly. Witch hazel is an astringent to minimise pores and create smoother looking skin Propylene Glycol is used as a solvent and improves the tan's absportion into the skin Glycerin improves smoothness and is idel for people with sensitive skin as it prevents dryness Polysorbate 20 Polysorbate 20 (chemical formula C58H114026) is a nontoxic polysorbate surfactant. It is commonly used in spray tans and other body sprays as it is a solubilser, creating an even dispersal that will not separate. 20 refers to the number of "parts" of ethylene oxide added to the polysorbate. Ethylerne oxide can be potentially harmful to humans when used in large quantities. Polysorbate 20 is derived from natural ingredients and allows the tan to disperse evenly, creating a beautiful, flawless colour natural beauty care- quality manufacturers of skin body care product ph: fax:
2 Aloe Leaf Juice Erythrulose Sodium Acetate Sodium Bisulfite Phenoxyethanol Fragrance May contain (+/-): Caramel Yellow 5 Aloe Leaf juice is derived from the Aloe vera plant. It is a succulent species originating in northern Africa. It is commonly used in cosmetics as an anti-irritant and moisturiser. Erythrulose has the chemical formula C4H804 and is a tetrose carbohydrate and commonly used in tanning products (in combination with DHA) to provide a temproary browning of the skin. Sodium Acetate, or sodium ethanoate, is a colourless salt derived from acetic acid. It acts as a buffer to keep a consistent ph. Sodium Bisulfite, also known as sodium hydrogen sulfite, is commonly used as a food additive. It is used to prevent oxidation and preserve products, as it is a decolouring agent. Phenoxyethanol (chemical formula C8H10O2) is an organic chemical compound. It is used as a stabiliser and preservative in cosmetics. Frgrance or an aroma compound is simply a chemical compound which provides an odor to a product. Caramel is a water soluble colouring made by heating carbohydrates. It is commonly used as a food colouring and also in cosmetics. Yellow 5 or tartazine is a synthetic yellow dye commonly used in foods, medications and cosmetics. Tartazine sensitivity is not uncommon, and monitoring for up to 72 hours after application to ensure no allergic reaction is encouraged. Aloe leaf juice soothes the skin and is a natural moisturiser Erythrulose is a natural ingredient which assists in creating a beautiful natural-looking tan Sodium Acetate is used as a buffering agent to help create a long lasting tan. Sodium Bisulfite is a decolouring agent which stops it from changing colour and helps extend the shelf life of the tan. Phenoxyethanol is a natural stablising agent, used to replace harmful parabeans, to preserve the tanning solution. Fragrance is used to provide an appealing scent to Naked Tan's product. Our signature vanilla coconut fragrance is reminiscent of summer nights, holidays and long days at the beach. Caramel is a food colouring, which provides a warm, natural tanned look. Yellow 5 or tartazine is a synthetic dye which is used as an undertone in the tan. natural beauty care- quality manufacturers of skin body care product ph: fax:
