For five years the JUMBO a Fully CNC Controlled Five Axis Laser has enabled LaserTUBE Cutting to offer unrivalled processing on Tubes up to 508x16 - Box Sections up to 500x300x16 400x400x16 and certain Open Sections in finished lengths up to 15 metres long complete with time saving weld preps! 12 LT14 ANOTHER UK FIRST RECENTLY COMMISSIONED IN LATE 2012 OFFERS PROCESSING CAPABILITIES SIMILAR TO ITS BIGGER BROTHER THE JUMBO. Sections that can be processed include Tubes up to 14 (355.6mm o/d), hence the name, Box Sections up to 260x260 and 300x200. Equivalent Open Sections can all be processed in lengths up to 12 metres finished complete with time saving weld preps! Materials processed include Mild & Stainless Steel. 12

13 OFFSHORE AND RENEWABLES WE PROVIDE A DEDICATED AND FOCUSED SERVICE TO THE OFFSHORE MARKET FOR THE OIL, GAS AND RENEWABLE ENERGY SECTORS. Our primary function is as a stockholder of hot & cold formed circular, square and rectangular sections and seamless tubes. Stocked grades include G13+N, G15+N and API X52 in addition to S355J2H to cater for the needs of offshore fabricators. Grades are supplied in the normalised condition which reduces HAZ problems in the post weld condition. Other grades, such as A333 Grade 6, are available through our supply network. All stocked material is sourced from European mills/suppliers and is supplied with 3.1 certification in accordance with EN Through the Barrett Steel Group we also supply angles, beams, columns and plate in grades including J2, G8 and G10. 13

20 SHOTBLASTING AND PRIMING THE BARRETT TUBES DIVISION TAKE PRIDE IN PROVIDING THE BEST QUALITY PRODUCTS AVAILABLE. Our in house shotblasting and priming systems ensure that you, the customer, get perfectly finished products to fit your personal requirements. Our surface treatment systems have the ability to shot-blast all hollow sections, structural sections, merchant bar and plates up to 1500mm wide.all shotblasting complies with BS EN ISO 8501: 2001 SA2.5. We only ever use water-based weldable holding primer in order to give the best finish possible as well as being kinder to the environment. 20

23 TUBE MANIPULATION SINCE EARLY 2003 WE HAVE BEEN OFFERING TUBES AND BOX SECTIONS THAT HAVE BEEN LASERED AND/OR BENT/ROLLED IN BOTH MILD STEEL AND STAINLESS STEEL. We have two mandrel tube benders which can push bend tubes and box section up to 42mm diameter. These two machines have a wide range of tooling in stock. In addition to these two machines we also have three different size ring rollers that offer variable radius bending on sections up to 120x120 square and the equivalent squares / rectangles and circular tubes subject to tooling. Just recently commissioned is an All Electric CNC Tube Bender called the ELECT 150 which offers both fixed and variable radius bends on tubes up to 150mm diameter subject to tooling. All these lasers and tube bending equipment offer unrivalled processing capability under one roof, combining the strength of a leading tube and hollow section specialist with the UK s leading laser processor. 23

Which can offer time saving weld preparations on Tubes up to 219mm o/d / Box Section up to 200 x 100 and 150x150 with equivalent Angle / Channel / Flat Bar and other special sections in finished lengths up to 8.4 metres long. They are ideal for any internal or external area requiring a stable edge protection barrier as well as where protection is needed against stationary or moving machinery. TUBECLAMPS Typical applications include: Platforms Mezzanines Stairways Gantries Our comprehensive range of fittings means that tubeclamps can be used both temporarily and permanently. Our tubeclamps are iron casted with a galvanised finish and have been manufactured with ease of use very much in mind. No welding, no bending, no threading. Just a hexagonal key is needed to join the tubing together. FLOORING When choosing a flooring product for your project there are a number of considerations to bear in mind - aesthetic requirements, functionality and cost implications. We have taken these into account when developing our range of flooring which offers a wide range of products to meet everyones personal needs. 29

31 LT FIBER LASER THE NEW TECHNOLOGY OF THE FIBER LASER OFFERS SIGNIFICANT ADVANTAGES IN TERMS OF A WIDER RANGE OF MATERIALS THAT CAN BE PROCESSED - AMONG THEM HIGHLY-REFLECTIVE MATERIALS SUCH AS COPPER, BRASS, STAINLESS STEEL AND ALUMINIUM. We are the first steel stockholder to introduce a system of this kind to the UK. It is specifically designed and developed for cutting tubes and open profiles with the fibre laser source. Benefits of the new system include time saving, due to faster cutting speeds and a smoother cut surface on the finished products. Compared to traditional methods, laser processing offers cost savings due to the reduction in the number of processes needed. 31
