What is this course about? 1.1 Course description Today competition takes place between supply chains, and no longer at the inter-firm level. Enabled through information technology, supply chain management addresses the integrative approach of managing all activities related to products/services from the point of origin to the point of consumption. You will study basic methods of analysis in planning, organising and controlling supply chain operations, to ensure that the right product/service, in the right quantity, in the right condition, is delivered to the right customer at the right place, at the right time, at the right cost. 1.2 Course content supply chain strategies supply chain network design principles planning and managing inventories principles of logistics and transportation management procurement and sourcing decisions information technology in a supply chain supply chain performance innovative business models supply chain risk management and sustainability 2. Utilise a systematic framework for analysing the behaviour of supply chain networks and best practices in supply chain management. Appraise the latest trends, technologies, and business models related to supply chain management. Use Supply Chain design, processes, and thinking to improve the competitiveness of an organisation. Product: Assignment / SCM Proposal Format: This is a group assessment. The length of this assignment should be approximately 400 words. In this component you are required to provide an outline of the following aspects: supply chain research topic names of the team members and their roles in the assignment as to who is going to do what and when how often you are going to meet as a group and what you are going to discuss in the meeting list of references including the industry reports if any that you are going to use in completing your assignment project activity schedule for progress monitoring to ensure that you are able to submit your assignment on time your strategy for addressing the conflict if any in your group Criteria Level of comprehensiveness of the project plan Roles and responsibilities clearly outlined Appropriateness of research materials Clearly defined and achievable scheduling Generic skill assessed Skill assessment level Problem solving Assessment Task 2: Assignment: Supply Chain Management Presentation Goal: Product: Format: This task provides an opportunity to develop your supply chain management skills by presenting in a group the results of your research on the latest trends, technologies, and business models related to supply chain management. Supply chain management presentation In-class (or recorded) group presentation of 15 minutes duration. All group members will receive the same result. Further details available on. You can alternatively submit an electronic version (PowerPoint, or equivalent), a video or voice recorded version of your presentation. Criteria Application of relevant supply chain management concepts/frameworks and theories in completing the report

Supply chain management report Group report of 2500 words. All group members will receive the same result. Further details available on. This software allows for text comparisons to be made between your submitted assessment item and all other work that SafeAssign has access to. If required, details of how to submit via SafeAssign will be provided on the Blackboard site of the course. Eligibility for Supplementary Assessment Your eligibility for supplementary assessment in a course is dependent of the following conditions applying: a) The final mark is in the percentage range 47% to 49.4% b) The course is graded using the Standard Grading scale c) You have not failed an assessment task in the course due to academic misconduct 5.4 Submission penalties Late submission of assessment tasks will be penalised at the following maximum rate: 5% (of the assessment task s identified value) per day for the first two days from the date identified as the due date for the assessment task. 10% (of the assessment task s identified value) for the third day 20% (of the assessment task s identified value) for the fourth day and subsequent days up to and including seven days from the date identified as the due date for the assessment task.
5 Page 5 A result of zero is awarded for an assessment task submitted after seven days from the date identified as the due date for the assessment task. Weekdays and weekends are included in the calculation of days late. To request an extension you must contact your course coordinator to negotiate an outcome. 6.
