Our Service At Arco we know that managing indirect consumables is often a very complex job, but if done correctly can make your business streamlined and efficient, thereby giving you a competitive advantage. We have developed a system which offers a lean just-in-time answer to managing personal protective equipment (PPE) and other indirect consumables as part of our commitment to help keep your staff safe and save you money. Our point-of-work vending solution will allow you to control what stock is being used, when and by whom. This is highly effective and can reduce your consumption of indirect consumables by an average of 30%, by reducing waste, stock piling at workstations and petty theft. Our vending machines are installed in easy to access areas of your facility and are reachable 24 hours a day. This means you will see an increase in productivity as there is a reduction in worker down time. It also means that your key personnel can concentrate on their jobs rather than supply management issues taking up their time. Prior to installation we will conduct a detailed usage and site survey with you to find the most effective option and number of devices for your business. To get started all we need from you is a list of the products you are currently buying and your annual or monthly usage. We will be able to evaluate your usage over time to ensure you are getting the most out of your vending system. Should your business introduce a new production line or your employees start using a new piece of PPE we can reconfigure the machines to vend accordingly. As part of our agreement with you we will arrange to fill your Arco vending machines at intervals that are convenient and appropriate to your usage. We have 250 employees and we found that there was a large amount of wastage and overuse as we couldn t accurately record what PPE was being given out. 3 Benefits of using the Arco Vending Solution Stock Management The real-time reporting capabilities that come with the Arco vending system are valuable to both health and safety and procurement departments. This system provides complete transparency on all items vended and allows for monitoring, anytime from a browser or mobile device. PPE Compliance Usage Reduction All PPE issued from the Arco vending machines is recorded, detailing product code and description, quantity, date and time of issuance, and the individual who obtained the items. With this system, users are accountable for everything they vend and you have a detailed record of the PPE you supply your staff. We never delete a user so you can access historical transactions ensuring you have a 100% audit trail for health and safety purposes of all PPE that has been issued to your workforce. Records can be used as a defence against litigation should any issues arise. They can also be used as a pre-emptive measure to monitor if workers are vending enough PPE and thereby helping health and safety officers to enforce compliance. Managing point-of-work tools and consumables has produced a sustained usage reduction in material cost of between 15% and 50%. Items of high value and use outside the plant such as hand tools tend to yield savings at the higher end of the range. Greater accountability for items used and control over access and quantities issued drives this reduction. Workers are given the items required for their particular jobs in the quantities specified. As workers become aware that their individual usage can be tracked and monitored, abuse and waste is reduced and usage levels tend to go down. Limits can be set for individual users both for access rights and quantity levels. This means management can decide what PPE a user can have access to and set quantity limits for the number of particular items workers can access over time hour, shift, per day, etc. Improved visibility to usage patterns helps management to quickly identify abuse, waste, and other opportunities for improvement. Information is readily available across the supply chain, so management can implement corrective actions quickly and effectively. Ability to control access to particular items and to link those items to particular jobs or process dramatically reduces non-compliant or maverick usage. This is particularly important when relating to workers using the correct PPE for the job they are undertaking. We appreciate that no two customers have the same needs. That is why we can arrange to fill your Arco Vending Machine at intervals that are appropriate for your usage. The stock management will be undertaken by our dedicated team of Inventory Management Co-ordinators. We use our cloud software to monitor your usage so our team know exactly how much stock is needed to replenish. There is no time consuming ordering process for you or your management team. We understand that there might be a level of seasonality to your work that will mean that your head count and consumption of PPE will change. That is why we will work closely with you to create a proposal for stock replenishments based on your current PPE usage and your future requirements. Detailed information, the way you want it, anywhere anytime. The Arco Vending Machine and Asset Management Lockers are controlled by the Apex Connect n Go Technology. Data moves seamlessly from the device via an ethernet, cellular or wireless internet connection. The device doesn t require software installations and there are no Windows based computers, servers or controllers to install or support. There is nothing for your IT department to maintain so their work levels will be unaffected once the internet access has been provided and the machines are up and running. All traffic between the devices and the server is encrypted using AES128. Each of the Arco Vending Machines initiate a heartbeat every 30 minutes so should there be an issue with the machine or your internet connection we will know almost instantaneously. 4 Arco Vending Solutions Arco Asset Management Locker Arco Vending Machine The Arco Vending Machine is a rugged, versatile, and easy-to-use automated dispenser which tracks, manages, and controls PPE and other indirect consumable usage at the point-ofwork. This robust machine is designed to deliver an outstanding performance even in harsh environments. Items are dispensed through the helical system which is reliable and is easy to configure. We will work closely with you prior to installation to ensure that all Arco vending machines are configured in the most efficient way possible to dispense all your PPE requirements. Each Arco Asset Management Locker can stand alone or work as a slave unit attached to the Arco vending machine. In either case the machine is managed by a controller with either a key pad or an ID scanner, see opposite. One stand alone controller can run up to three lockers. A standard Arco Asset Management Locker comes with 18 compartments. However, depending on the size of the items being stored, this can be modified to a maximum of 36 compartments by converting a three compartment section into a six compartment section The Arco Asset Management Locker can also be customised depending on what is being stored. If an item such as a drill needs charging is being stored we can construct the locker to ensure the item can be plugged in. A compartment can also be programmed to shut down after an item is returned. This is particularly useful when dealing with PPE such as harnesses which need to be inspected after use. User access There are a variety of different ways that machines can be accessed: Users scan their ID card or enter a unique ID number into the key pad attached to the device and our software, which manages all aspects of the machine functionality, identifies who the user is. Each user account can be restricted to what products they can have access to and how often they can vend. By limiting what products in the machine a user can access we can ensure: Your workforce is always wearing PPE that provides the correct level of protection for the job they are undertaking. There are no vends of incorrectly sized products Users don t have the opportunity to stockpile products at workstations. All vends are recorded in real time meaning that the inventory levels are always completely accurate
