2 About Make-A-Wish Colorado Founded in 1983 as one of the nation s first Make-A-Wish chapters, Make-A-Wish Colorado has granted more than 4,400 wishes to eligible children throughout the state, from Fort Collins to Telluride and Grand Junction to Burlington. Make-A-Wish Colorado is part of the largest wish-granting organization in the world, with 61 chapters in the United States and its territories and 37 international affiliates serving 50 countries. Who We Are The Young Professionals Advisory Council (YPAC) is a significant resource to Make-A-Wish Colorado, its Board of Directors and the children they serve. YPAC assists the Board, CEO, and Staff by acting as ambassadors for Make-A-Wish through fundraising, promotion, networking, volunteering, and general advocacy of our mission: To grant wishes to children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength, and joy. The council is made up of young professionals who are passionate about being active and philanthropic members of their community. Our goal is to create events for Young Professionals in order to provide networking opportunities, create fundraising events, and to promote Make-A-Wish Colorado. The Make-A-Wish Story Make-A-Wish grants the wish of a child diagnosed with a life threatening medical condition in the United States and its territories, on average, every 38 minutes. We believe that a wish experience can be a gamechanger. This one belief guides us. It inspires us to grant wishes that changes the lives of the kids we serve. 3 The Make-A-Wish Foundation of Colorado is excited to present our 12 th annual Kickball Tournament. Funds raised from the tournament are used to grants wishes for children with life-threatening medical conditions. How You Can Help The average cost to grant a child s wish is $7,500. By becoming a sponsor you can help grant a wish. Sponsors have exposure to over 1,500 participants, volunteers and spectators before, during, and after the tournament. The goal of this sponsorship is to enhance the tournament for our fans, while providing a platform for retailers to sample their product to our demographic.
