6 Why in Munich? Munich is an excellent conference venue due to existing infrastructure (international airport < 30 km distant, modern public transport, hotels of all categories near venue). Suitable conference rooms (number, size) are located at Bundeswehr Medical Academy, BFS and HMGU. Munich is a great city offering lots of attractions within the beautiful surroundings of the Free State of Bavaria (historical city center, museums, galleries, theatres, music, castles, Olympic Park, English Garden, beer gardens, mountains and lakes)

14 Outlook for EPR-Biodose The conference will be characterized by disciplinary as well as interdisciplinary oriented topics - All relevant aspects of BIO & EPR dosimetry as well as its objectives will be considered - basic / advanced research - practical application of methodologies - development of new methods / progress of established methods - networking / emergency dosimetry - radiation accident medical preparedness & response - biomarkers of exposure and bioindicators of effect - link of BIO and EPR dosimetry to the medical emergency management (diagnostics / therapy) - EPR dosimetry for archaeological dating - BIO dosimetry for (cytogenetic / molecular) epidemiology - consideration of incoming abstract submissions of aspects not mentioned here due to future developments, upcoming projects and up-to-date topics - A poster presentation will be organized, options for workshop/lab visits

15 Further Information The conference fee will not outrange the previous fees of EPR-Biodose conferences. The fee will cover the meals during the conference (coffee breaks, lunches). Suitable rooms for hosting satellite meetings will be available before/after the conference (ISO groups, WHO BioDoseNet, RENEB, IABERD). There will be options for biological/physical courses & visits of the organizers` laboratories. A poster presentation will be included into the scientific program (enough space is available). Organization of industrial exhibition will be discussed (experience existing). Publication of conference proceedings in a peer-reviewed journal is envisaged. A conference dinner incl. transportation will be organized.
