1 EQUIPMENT POOL Hiring Guide
2 Equipment Pool Sport Waitakere is the central hub for sport and physical activity in Waitakere. We want to assist the public, schools, clubs and businesses to become more active. We recognise that the cost of purchasing new equipment can be a barrier to access therefore we have a large array of equipment available for hire at an affordable cost. We would like to thank the Portage Licensing Trust for supporting this project. Hiring Equipment As a hirer Contact SPORT WAITAKERE, 2-3 days in advance to book equipment as equipment may not be available. When picking up equipment, you are required to Complete an Equipment Pool Booking Form Provide photo ID, Pay a Hire Fee, See equipment pricing in the Hiring Guide Pay a refundable Bond of 0 or $100 depending on the amount of equipment, Important Information- we only accept cash or cheque payments. Hire Costs Hire costs support the maintenance and renewal of equipment. Costs are relevant for a hire period of 2 nights and 3 days (unless otherwise stated), if you require the equipment for a longer period of time there may be additional costs. Equipment Bond Sport Waitakere requires a bond that is paid on pick up of the equipment. A bond of 0 is required for 5 or less sets of equipment. (Early childhood Centres may borrow the equipment for up to 2 weeks at a time. If they wish to retain it longer than this then they may do so at an additional cost and provided no other centre requires the equipment. Centres are responsible for collection and delivery to the stadium. Please ensure that children do not use food around the equipment or sharp objects this includes buckles on shoes.)
