7 Sixth Grade Assessments Research Task Premise: a new museum is searching for exhibits on early societies and their influence on modern society. Groups choose and research one global society that has had a significant impact on our world today. Each group member will focus on a specific aspect of that society. Each student writes an essay explaining the impact of that aspect of the society. Groups create a multimedia presentation. Best Works Portfolio (year-long) Word Study Assessments (end of trimester) NJASK (spring)

12 MUSICAL PERFORMING GROUPS Choirs, Orchestras, and Bands are comprised of students of all three grades.
13 Vocal Performing Groups Treble Choir Concert Choir Vocal Ensemble These groups are graded.
14 Concert Band Symphonic Band Wind Symphony Concert Orchestra Symphonic Strings Starting September 2011 these groups rehearse before school and will be charged a Pay-to-Participate fee. Students receive one group lesson each week and are graded on their effort.
