8 Programme Environmental Technologies & Service Hub - Support the development of Green Technology businesses and eventually a cluster of green tech firms. Greening Business Scheme - To help businesses become more competitive through reducing resource inputs. Solent Green Deal and Solent ECO Schemes - A locally administered scheme, backed by local authorities, which ensures at least 70% of work will go to local SMEs and help create apprenticeships. Green Deal & ECO Supply Chain Development - Supply Solent businesses with the right knowledge and skills to take advantage of the Green Deal and the Energy Company Obligation.

9 Programme Solent Energy Strategy setting out the future energy needs of the Solent region, to help ensure energy security for businesses and homes, and secure investment into and jobs from renewable and low carbon energy projects. Hampshire Community Bank (HCB) - Develop a vehicle to address the lack of lending to SMEs in the Solent by the big banks, in particular within the green economy and green projects and to ensure that local funds are invested in local productive capacity. Navitus Bay Wind Farm - Support for the development of an offshore wind farm south of the Isle of Wight to secure, renewable energy together with exploitation of economic benefits through the development of the supply chains. Warmer Wight - deliver Energy Company Obligation (ECO) funding to residents on the Isle of Wight to keep homes warm in the winter.

13 Funding wins Securing 3 million of RGF Funding towards our 12 million programme to support green technology R&D high growth businesses and to support the development of Hampshire Community Bank Securing 619,000 of ERDF funding towards the 1.2 million EiNet project providing business planning and mentoring support to green technology companies Supporting a successful bid for 700,000 for the LoToNo project supporting innovation & trans-european co-operation in the low carbon business sector including setting up low carbon clusters in Dorset & Hampshire Securing 7 million towards the SAVE project (Solent Achieving Value from Efficiency), a trial project to establish to what extent Energy Efficiency measures can be considered as a cost effective tool for managing networks, encouraging renewable connections, deferring reinforcement costs & creating end customer benefits.
