3 Actions from last meeting ( ) ACTION STATUS AB to update the Green Business Clubs Good Practice Guide and produce a high level regional summary to be focussed at LEPs. Still to do! Sorry. I will give this priority and complete by end October following Annual Conference Environmental legislation update to be provided by SWM on behalf of Green Business Clubs network by Groundwork WM. Completed and three issued to date SWM to explore need to run a selection of events for larger WM businesses at regional events supported by local clubs SWM running Green Leaders Awards in conjunction with MEBC Dinner on 2 December 2015

4 Cross LEP Green Business Support Programme Low carbon business growth support 3 year programme Outline application led by Groundwork WM EBS SWM provided support and guidance and named delivery partner Outline bids submitted 20 May 2015 to: GBSLEP Black Country LEP Application under Priority Axis 4: Supporting the Shift to a Low carbon Economy in all Sectors

5 Cross LEP Green Business Support Programme SWM to coordinate and grow Green Business Clubs Network, links with Chambers, and local and national business networks Act as a conduit and help engagement SMEs signposted to local delivery partners and specific technical advice Project draws together business support to provide coordinated approach to energy efficiency and greenhouse gas reduction Outline applications approved in August for full application stage Full applications by 5 November

6 Other opportunities Exploring a green business club for Birmingham with MEBC Discussing other business support projects and how to build on and support green business clubs with future delivery Currently reviewing all 39 LEPs for good practice including supporting green business club/equivalents
