Strong Economy - Sri Lanka's GDP grew at 8.3% in 2011, the highest annual rate of expansion since the country gained independence in The Economist Intelligence Unit forecasts the country will grow at an annual rate of 7.4% from 2013 to 2016, one of the highest projected growth rates in Asia.
