Paper #1 Part 2: Write a 2 page paper describing how you would use Operant Conditioning to help teach a child good manners and prosocial behaviors (ie, say please and thank you, be nice, share, wait your turn, don t intentionally hurt others, etc.) If you want a good grade you must use the terms of Operant Conditioning correctly: positive reinforcement, negative reinforcement, punishment, shaping, temporal contiguity, and the Social Learning Term modeling. Your grade will suffer if you do NOT explain and use these terms. Use your text reading, videos, flashcards and any other resources on MyPsychLab to help explain these terms well. That way I don t just think you are submitting your assignment and fail to respond quickly. Extra Credit No Extra Credit is given in this class. My Virtual Life My Virtual Life is a fascinating and helpful simulation you can use while you have access to MyDevelopmentLab in Psych 14. The first simulation allows you to raise a child from birth to age 18 and monitor the effects of your parenting decisions over time. In the second simulation, you will make first person decisions and see the impact of those decisions on your simulated future self over time. You are not required to use this simulation, nor will you get points towards your Psych 14 grade. However, if you have time and wish to go deeper into the Developmental Psych. course, I encourage you to use it. COURSE POLICIES Those discovered to be cheating (unauthorized collaboration, plagiarizing on papers, etc.) will be given an F grade for the course and may be reported to college authorities for expulsion. Students, please be responsible for completing your work according to the dates below. My advice to any distant learner is to try not to let the work pile up and then feel overwhelmed. Just take it day by day.
