This course introduces major concepts, problems and methods that psychologists use to investigate and understand the human mind. Major topics of study include the history and origins of psychology, introductory statistical concepts, motivation, emotion, biological determinants of behavior, environmental factors in behavior, psychological tests and measurements, and learning and personality theory. All the assigned chapters are worth 10 points each for a total of 130 points total for your final course grade. In short: 13 Required Weekly Chapter Exams: (13 exams x 10 points each = 130 points possible) IMPORTANT: *In order to earn 10 points for each exam you must take them ON TIME and score 70% or above. *If you miss an exam, take it late, or score 69% or below, you will receive 0 points for the exam. I will be checking to see that you are taking them each week. You must take the chapter exams on time and earn a 70% or above score in order to earn the 10 points for each exam.
