2 Selection based on the Process Fluid IMPORTANT: When choosing a process valve it is not only mere chemical compatibility of the materials which has to be taken into consideration but rather the design and the valve's operating mechanism. A solenoid valve, for example, will not operate correctly with highly viscous fluids in spite of being made with materials which are chemically compatible. (The selection is a guide.
