35 LAB/LBA Fix points lifted and installed LAB/LBA Fix Points lifted and installed in Safeguard buildings 1&4 (UJH1 and UJH4) on Sept. 13 th and 19 th The Main Steam Lines (LBA) and Feed Water Lines (LAB) will be welded to these Fix Points. They are designed for the 2 following main load cases: 1. To ensure APC shell integrity 2. To support the full load in case of accidental situation on the main LAB LBA lines OL3 Project update - November p.35

36 Equipment Hatch Equipment Hatch Cover lifting week 35, 2009 In August, on week 35, 2009, the 40 tons Equipment Hatch Cover was lifted and positioned within the Reactor Building. The Hatch Cover ensures the Equipment hatch s confinement and along with the liner s within the Reactor Building. Installation works under progress within the Equipment Hatch. 37 Polar Crane lifted and installed The Polar Crane Runway was lifted and installed in the Reactor Building in July on week 28, Polar Crane installation in the Reactor Building completed in September Commissioning preparation started. Preparations for polar crane tests are going on; the polar crane power off tests have started. OL3 Project update - November p.37

40 IRWST: White room - Status IRWST: liner installation started in the room after hand-over from Civil Work to Installation department. The IRWST is now isolated room white room to avoid any pollution while austenitic welding. Liner welding in progress. Construction inspections of the IRWST walls are ongoing. 41 Spreading area (Core Catcher) - Status Spreading area week 43, 2009 In containment Refueling Water Storage Tank (IRWST) Spreading area Cooling element installation inspection completed on May 15 th, Discharge Melt Channel zirconia-brick installation completed on September 14 th, The installation inspection of the cooling elements and protective layer on the spreading area has been completed and validated by TVO.
