1 GSCP2P Lifesaver Council Patch The GSCP2P Lifesaver council patch is an opportunity for an individual Girl Scout or troop to demonstrate service to their community, working with a variety of organizations and local resources. The purpose of this patch is to educate girls on service organizations in their local communities and teach Girl Scouts of all ages the importance of giving back. The GSCP2P Lifesaver council patch is a compilation of 5 small patches. The patch can be earned over 1-2 years and can be earned again at each program age level as the girl bridges. The 5 smaller patches that comprise the GSCP2P Lifesaver council patch are: 1. GSCP2P Gives Clothing patch (a patch working with local clothing collection sites) 2. GSCP2P Gives Life patch (a patch working with local blood donation centers) 3. GSCP2P Gives Food patch (a patch working with local food collection centers) 4. GSCP2P Gives Back patch (a wild card patch that allows girls and/or troops to decide to help the organization(s) of their choosing) 5. GSCP2P Do A Good Turn patch (a patch earned by participating in the council s annual Do A Good Turn weekend every spring) Each piece of the GSCP2P Lifesaver council patch can be purchased for $1.00 (plus sales tax) and must be purchased at a GSCP2P council shop. Individual patches can be purchased at any time once all the requirements for that patch are completed. To purchase your patch, you must submit a participant log when you go to the shop for each patch purchased. Questions?
