2 SINGLE WALL All round spiral duct and fittings shall be manufactured from G-90 galvanized steel, conforming to ASTM and SMACNA standards. Standard elbows will have 1.5 centerline radius. Other radii and vaned elbows are available as needed. Elbows through 12 shall be die formed, with stitch welded joints. Elbows 14 through 30 shall be gore-locked construction. All elbows above 32 shall also be gored, but with tack weld and sealed construction for use to 4 w.g., or solid welded for use to 10 w.g. Branch connections in medium pressure systems shall be conical for 90 degree taps, and straight for 45 degrees. Seams and tap connections shall be tack welded and sealed with mastic for use up to 4 w.g., or solid welded for use to 10 w.g. Standard connections are slip fit with couplings. Gasketed (up to 36 ), flanged, or mate (by Ductmate Industries) connections are also available. DUAL WALL Double wall insulated spiral is available with solid or perforated liners; Mylar barrier is available as a barrier between perforated liner and insulation. 1, 2 and 3 insulation thicknesses are available; k value is 0.27.
