7 My colleague claimed that we could go straight from the airport express train to the hotel s lobby without walking outside. He wasn t lying, and it only took us three minutes. Just 30 minutes ago we left the plane, now I m checking in with my cell phone and leaving my bags in the room. We grab a coffee in the lobby as we run through the presentation for the meeting. The atmosphere is casual and relaxing. Some guests are working, while others are sitting chatting. I m looking forward to tonight. I m going to a concert down the street with an old friend. 9 Comfort Hotel union brygge Comfort Hotel winn WeCare Comfort SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY IN UMEÅ In 2012, Comfort Hotel Winn in Umeå cooperated with the local soup kitchen and wanted to provide the less fortunate with warm clothes for winter. The hotel s general manager, Chris Pedersen, contacted the other Comfort Hotels in Sweden and Norway and asked them to send all the forgotten clothes in their lost and found room. The Comfort Hotels responded with boxes and boxes of clothes from all over Scandinavia. Comfort Hotel Winn then invited to lunch and handed out the clothes to 65 people in Umeå in need of a little human warmth and kindness.
