2 english PRESENTATION Our third meeting is of great interest because of the participation of worldwide prestigious professionals specialized in TFP treatment. The project of Grup TLP Barcelona, which is the first one in Catalonia and in Spain, is technically and scientifically supervised by the Personality Disorders Institute from New York and directed by Prof. Otto Kernberg. Together with the Mexico, Brazil, Chile, Canada, Germany, Switzerland and New York groups, we are part of the International Society of Transference-Focused Psychotherapy (ISTFP). The Personality Disorders Institute of New York, has pioneered various diagnosis measures and a therapeutical methodology based on the Transference-Focused Psychotherapy (TFP), recognized worldwide and with solid scientific evidence in BPD treatment. The Grup TLP Barcelona wants to lead in research, clinical practice and also in specialized training programs for our professionals. Prof. Pamela Foelsch, Prof. Stephan Doering and Prof. Otto Kernberg, will take part in this event, together with other important professionals. We are sure that all the participants will find all the conferences of great value in terms of new and latest approaches in diagnosis, psychotherapy, clinical practice and research in BPD patients. 2
