In addition, the institute serves the consumer community by providing or sponsoring training activities with a mental health focus. Specific duties include: Hiring and training of Institute staff. Developing and monitoring over 80 annual training events for agency personnel.

2 Directing training internships and practica for students of social work and psychology. Monitoring and enhancing the skills of psychology and social work supervisory staff. Providing consultation to executive staff on program development and continuing education opportunities. Corporate Director of Training and Research/Chief Psychologist April 1998 to January 2001 Responsible for the development and direction of clinical staff and intern training within a large community mental health agency. Specific Duties include; directing the APA approved clinical psychology internship, conducting training teams to develop relevant policy and procedures for staff and student supervision, directing the research internal review board (IRB), and assisting with the development of the agency's training curriculum. Divisional Director West Valley Area Adult Services June 1997 to April 1998 Responsible for the management and oversight of clinical programs specific to adult populations in the San Gabriel Region. Responsibilities include the development of programs for the chronically mentally ill, development of networks within the social services community and liaisons with the Departments of Mental Health. Associate Regional Director Adult Services July 1996 to June 1997 Responsible for the oversight of clinical programs specific to adult populations. These programs included services for the persistently mentally ill and those emotionally disturbed / at-risk for being homeless. Clinical Director September 1992 to July 1996 Fuller Psychological and Family Services Fuller Graduate School of Psychology Responsible for supervising clinical service delivery within an urban outpatient clinic, associated with an APA approved graduate school. I also developed the curriculum and supervision of graduate students who provided treatment to adults and children with an emphasis on the delivery of services to a culturally diverse community. These duties included the coordination of licensed clinical supervisors who monitored approximately 70 student clinicians who served approximately 400 clients per week.

3 Staff Psychologist Assistant Clinical Director October 1987 to August 1992 The Sycamores Altadena, California As Assistant Clinical Director, I organized and directed clinical services for an agency that treats seriously emotionally disturbed children and their families. Such services included research and program evaluation. Clients were referred by the Department of Children s Services and the Department of Mental Health. I provided supervision and direction for 6 staff clinicians and various graduate interns. I presented workshops and seminars to the above-mentioned staff and established the training agenda. I performed individual, group and family therapy. I also consulted with various disciplines (education, medical, psychiatric, social work) regarding the care of seriously emotionally disturbed children. GRADUATE INTERNSHIP EXPERIENCE: Clinical Intern Veterans Hospital Graduate Intern (Ph.D.) 1986 to 1987 Sepulveda, California APA Accredited As a Ph.D. candidate, I provided clinical services to Veterans in a hospital setting. Training rotations included: Medical Psychology and Gerontology- consultation-liaison services and behavioral medicine interventions to patients presenting with medical and psychological problems. Family Therapy - family interventions and sex therapy to couples. Sexual Dysfunction Clinic - assessed individuals for sexual dysfunction secondary to emotional trauma. Provided psychological treatment for sexual dysfunction secondary to organic disorders. Substance Abuse/ Alcohol Treatment - provided treatment to patients who present with substance abuse/dependence secondary to various medical and psychological problems including PTSD. Clinical Intern Hathaway Children s Services APA Accredited Graduate Intern (Ph.D.) 1985 to 1986 Provided clinical services to emotionally disturbed children ages 8 to 18. Duties included individual, group and family psychotherapy as well as, psychological assessment in inpatient and outpatient programs.
