Program Manager ( ) St. Vincent Medical Center, Tennyson Center, Toledo, Ohio. Responsible for the management and day to day operations in a comprehensive adolescent inpatient chemical dependency treatment setting. Provided clinical supervision of other professionals. Served on: Credentialing committee, staff development committee, Utilization review committee, advisory council, quality assurance committee and the juvenile probation committee. Presented numerous community workshops, and lectures on the topics of chemical dependency and co-dependency. Chemical Dependency Counselor/Therapist ( ) St. Vincent Medical Center. Provided individual, group and family chemical dependency counseling in a comprehensive adolescent inpatient treatment setting. The 12 step approach was utilized in this setting. Also, presented didactic information to patients, staff and the community. Drug Specialist (1980 to 1981) Zepf Community Mental Health Center, Toledo, Ohio. Provided public education, consultation, drug and alcohol counseling and mental health counseling to adolescents and adults. Developed a program of public education including workshops and seminars which were given to schools, churches, community groups and businesses aimed at prevention of drug

4 abuse, stress management, etc. Provided individual, group family and marital counseling. Provided in-service training to other agency professionals. Acted as a community liaison and consultant between Zepf and other community agencies. Chemical Dependency Counselor and EAP ( ) Alcohol and Substance Abuse Center, Monroe, Michigan. Provided chemical dependency outpatient services, conducted evaluative client consultations to determine individual needs and eligibility for services, provided family counseling, prepared client care plans, assisted in program evaluation, client referrals and educational services. Crisis Counselor ( 4/79 to 8/79) Rescue Crisis Center, Toledo, Ohio. Handled crisis situations including suicide prevention, drug abuse and battered women. This included both phone and individual contact. Short term therapy and follow-up referrals to agencies were also provided as well as outreach to client s home for individual and family counseling. Case Manager ( ) Northwestern Ohio Developmental Center, Toledo, Ohio. Duties included development and implementation of treatment plans for mentally retarded clients, evaluation of client s levels of functioning and development of group programming. INTERNSHIPS Goodwill Industries, Toledo, Ohio (1978) Conducted supervised counseling and administered manual dexterity tests in the Testing and Evaluation Department. St. Vincent s Alcoholic Recovery Program, Toledo, Ohio (1979)

5 Designed specific treatment plans for individual clients and provided short and long-term therapy. Additional responsibilities included: co-leading group sessions, participating in lectures and recreational activities and providing information to families of alcoholics.
