18 Returns to education For each additional year of schooling, women s salary increases on average for 7.5%, whilst that of men for 3.3%. One part of the returns to education for individuals comes in the shape of employment chances. As well as the impact on higher chances of employment among women. 18

20 Policy Implications Reallocate funding according to priorities Give priority to funding human capital Fund general curricula based on competences Fund quality improvements Autonomy / decision making combined with accountability Improvement of communication and coordination between education system levels Inclusion of professional guidance (career guidance) in the HEI Strengthening of ties of the general education, as well as higher secondary and higher education with the labor market 20
