71 STRUCTURES 26 A structure is a collection of accounts. You can create your own customized structure of accounts and sub folders, as well as edit, delete, import, and download structures you created. A structure that was created by one user can be shared with other users. The users with whom it is shared can view the accounts added in the structure if they have the entitlements to view them. Two types of structures are available for Verizon Business users: Reporting Structures - A Reporting Position must be defined when a Reporting Structure is created. Set the Reporting Position at the level of a structure, a folder within a structure, or an account to filter accounts that appear in the Analysis & Reporting tool on the Invoices Home page. Billing Structures - A Billing Structure is pre-defined and cannot be created by users. Establishing a Set Position of a structure or account in a structure acts as a filter so only the accounts in that structure are displayed in any Invoices tool (except Analysis & Reporting). For example, if the Set Position is set at a particular folder within a structure, only the accounts within that structure appear in the Account List, Charts & Graphs, Paper Free Billing, etc. Note: Both Verizon Wireline and Verizon Wireless accounts can be used in Billing Structures by users that have both types of accounts. 95 GLOBAL DATA ANALYZER (GDA) 2A Note: The Global Data Analyzer (GDA) is for international customers only. The GDA provides reporting functionality for international accounts. Specific application permissions are required to run reports, which are run against a hierarchy the administrator creates and maintains. There are three functions within the Global Data Analyzer, which are covered in this appendix: Manage Reporting Hierarchy, Manage Enrollment, and Request a Report. Click the Global Data Analyzer tab on the Analysis & Reporting screen. Figure A-1: Invoices Home Note: The GDA administrator has the enrollment and hierarchy links available to them. Reporting users only have the ability to request a report. A-1

96 Global Data Analyzer (GDA) The Global Data Analyzer tab lists all international reports. You will only see this tab if you are entitled to GDA reports. International reports display line level detail driven by reporting hierarchies managed by the administrator. Subordinates can be granted access to some or all lines based on assignment by the administrator. These reporting hierarchies are different than the account level reporting structures available to the other functions. These reports target accounts from a non-u.s. based billing system. Position Filter/Reporting Tier You can set the hierarchy position in the header of the Global Data Analyzer tab. This position acts as a filter to limit which lines are included in a report. 1. Click Set Position Filter. The Change Level pop-up appears. 2. Select reporting hierarchy. Figure A-2: Global Data Analyzer - Reports (Header) 3. Select the tier within that hierarchy from the Reporting Tier drop-down list. Report execution is now limited to the lines associated with that hierarchy and tier. The selected tier and any tiers above it are included in the report as columns. NOTE: If you do not select a reporting tier, then the lowest tier of the selected hierarchy is used as a default. A-2
