4 Client: Grafton Learningbase Grafton Merchanting GB, one of the UK s largest builders merchants Project requirement: Integrated training and learning management system with bespoke e-learning content. Grafton employs over 5,000 staff in more than 700 locations selling in excess of 12,000 product lines, their requirement was for an integrated training and e-learning system along with a series of bespoke e-learning programmes. Cortexa delivered a web based LMS called Learningbase, which gives direct access to online learning and classroom training booking to every employee in the organisation. In addition to Cortexa s huge product training catalogue the Grafton e-learning library includes induction, compliance and skills training. Key benefits of the solution: 1. 5 Client: Polypipe The UK s leading building plastics manufacturer. Project requirement: An online product and technical reference and training site for customers and staff. Having used Cortexa s merchant platform to deliver training to their distributors for over 6 years, Polypipe wanted to extend that proposition to their end user customers and staff. The solution was an online site where installers could register themselves and start learning straight away, but also where Polypipe staff could learn more about the product range their company sells. Polypipe are now able to deliver the technical e-learning that Cortexa developed for them to a much wider audience. Key benefits of the solution: 1. Cost effective, volume installer training 2. 6 Client: Wood Campus The UK Timber Industry s free information and CPD resource. Project requirement: An online technical reference and training portal offering information-rich content for a variety of audiences. From its inception, Cortexa has worked closely with Wood Campus to design and develop forward thinking learning tools for professional users of wood. Audiences are offered content specific to their needs, whether they are DIYers, builders, merchants or specifiers. From learning bites, films and apps to certificated CPD modules and interactive articles, a host of methods are employed to ensure each piece of information is presented most effectively. The flexibility of the LMS allows Wood Campus to keep their offering fresh, enabling them to make changes to key areas themselves and ensuring their information is always up-to-date. 7 Client: Viessmann The UK sales and distribution arm of the global heating giant. Project requirement: Viessmann UK needed a single point of contact for their 4,500 self-employed installers that would allow them to deliver support and training. Cortexa designed and delivered an online training portal that links to the National Gas Safe boiler registration scheme allowing installers to notify Gas Safe of all installations (a legal requirement) and keep an online record of all their customers for future use. In addition Cortexa developed a series of online technical and commercial training programmes for those installers. Key benefits of the solution: 1. One stop for Viessmann s loyal installers for training and Gas Safe notification 2. Massive value add to the Viessmann customer experience for Installers 3. Detailed record of notifications enabling Viessmann to identify exact installation location of all their products 4. Reduction in Customer service calls attributed to lack of technical knowledge Close to 2,000 UK heating engineers now use the Viessmann Installer portal, given they are all voluntary users, that says it all.
