28 Data Quality Continual Improvement Purpose: To use transparency to drive step change improvement in the quality of data that is the foundation of a seamless customer experience on-line, in-store, and in-club. We are partnering with GS1 US on our initiatives Objectives: Clear quality requirements/rules Prompt and actionable problem identification Supplier led remediation Data Quality scorecard and peer ranking 28

29 Data Quality Dimensions Business Rules Quality Dimension Items must have an Orderable Depth x Width x Height that is not fictitious Ex: 0x0x0, 8x8x8, 6x6x6, 1x1x1 Accuracy Items with the same GTIN must have the same Brand Consistency Items should have a Country of Origin Specified Completeness 50 New rules identified in 2016 Suppliers will onboard to DQCI at the same time as Enterprise Item 29

30 Unintelligent Item Number Sam s Club Sam s Club US currently has appx 100K items available for use Current State Future State - Existing items will keep their same 9 digit number - New items will have a new random 9 digit number assigned Targeted to complete in September

31 One to One Sam s Club US Sam s Club must align to industry standard before transitioning to Enterprise Item Items will no longer be allowed to have more than one UPC attached A new item will be created for each UPC currently attached to an existing item Only 6.25% of our current item file 3 Assortment types have been identified Item Link and GDSN Flow will be updated to accommodate assortment types More information coming soon!
