10 Onboarding Onboarding Process Join a GDSN-certified data pool Register your items with the data pool Review synchronization information, complete the GDS Trading Partner Form and send to Target Target will subscribe to your GLN and send you an requesting an Initial Load do not publish until you have received confirmation Target is subscribed Confirm with Target when you have completed publishing Onboarding Onboarding with Target (continued) The transmission is processed and one of the following responses is sent: Synchronized: A match was found and Target s database is in alignment Reject: No barcode match was found or an invalid GTIN hierarchy Review: Target GTIN matched, item attributes need attention before syncing Once Target confirms, you will be able to send future updates via the GDSN Partner with Target merchants and Target vendor representative on future updates 19 20

11 New Item Setup New Item Setup Process Using GDS Target awards business to Vendor Vendor s Target account rep notifies GDS rep to publish Vendor s GDS rep publishes NEW item to Target GLN Vendor s Target account rep logs into IMN to top off and submit item setup to Target. 12 Item Maintenance Item Maintenance Process Search for items in Item Management (IMN) to review for accuracy or updates Search capability by Barcode, GTIN Item Maintenance Item Maintenance Process Submit any necessary changes via GDS for GDS item attributes Publications are routed to the appropriate Merchandising department associated with the EACH level GTIN on the request If attribute needing maintenance is not a GDS synched attribute, Vendor s Target account rep must update item information via IMN 23 24
