2 General information Academic Program The first presentation will start at 0845 am Tuesday June 9 th, and the last presentation will end at 0430 pm Wednesday June 10 th. For details, see below. Each presentation will last 40 minutes. Following each presentation, there will be 15 minutes for discussion. The academic program will take place at the, Arne Rettedalshus room, G-101. Electronic Equipment There will be a laptop and a beamer for use in the conference room. Please note that our conference laptop can only upload Power Point presentations that are compatible with Windows Office 2003 or earlier versions. PDF-files will also work. Hotel Accommodation All participants will stay at Skagen Brygge Hotel, which is centrally located in Stavanger a 15 minutes taxi ride from the University ( Please take a taxi directly to the hotel when you arrive at the airport. The hotel provides you with wireless internet connection, free for all guests. There is also free exercise to a Fitness Center. Hotel address: Skagenkaien Phone number: Transport Tuesday and Wednesday morning a Maxi Taxi will pick you up at 0815 am outside the hotel. The Maxi Taxis will bring the workshop participants to Campus. They will also return you to the hotel after the workshop at 4:50 pm on Tuesday and 4pm on Wednesday. 3 Monday June 8 th Hiking trip to the Pulpit Rock We are very happy that so many of you are interested in the hiking trip. You must bring outfit for slightly changing weather conditions: Wind proofed jacket or rain jacket, good shoes, sunglasses and enough water. We will provide you with a brown bag lunch. The program for the day: 0900 Everybody meets outside Skagen Brygge Hotel. A short walk to the ferry Ferry departures from Stavanger. The ferry ride to Tau is about 30 minutes A bus will bring us to the Pulpit Rock Mountain Lodge, approximately 30 minutes drive Hiking to the Pulpit Rock, 600 m above sea level. During the hike we will enjoy a brown bag lunch provided by us. Remember to bring your own water Early dinner at the Pulpit Rock Mountain Lodge A bus takes us to the ferry Ferry departures from Tau.
