2 Soundflex panels for improved sound absorption Accordial Acoustic Solutions provide a one stop shop for the design, manufacture and installation of high quality, decorative absorption products. Products range from fabric wrapped panels to high quality drilled and slotted perforated absorption boards. Sound absorption is a vital component in the control of reverberation in rooms to ensure that the desired environment at design stage is achieved in reality. 6 Case Study Doncaster Civic Centre Accordial Acoustic Solutions Ltd has successfully completed the installation of over 400,000 worth of absorption boards at the new Doncaster Civic Centre for Wates Construction Ltd, which has been awarded the Project of the Year by the Chartered Institute of Building. Accordial Acoustic Solutions package consisted of 450 linear metres of natural European oak veneered board in the balcony balustrades, all finished with solid oak capping. The five stair/lift cores on all four floors were finished with continuously slotted laminated fire rated boards, all in individual colours. The chamber was the pièce de résistance with oak veneered absorption boards on the external walls, a curved balustrade, plus all other finishing joinery included in the project. Accordial Acoustic Solutions worked in conjunction with the architects Cartwright Pickard. 06
