8 Student Duties (1) When entering the dormitory, use your student ID to open the door Read the Guide book carefully Respect quiet hours : 22:00 6:00 Keep your unit s door closed No parties When someone comes to you and complains about noise you are making, keep it down If you fail to keep it down, the complaint usually gets to the reception and the next day to the dormitory manager = CZK fine If a notice from the reception does not help, they call the police

11 Receiving mail Letters / postcards in the box next to the reception (III.F) opposite to the reception (III.G) Packages your name will be written on the black board next to the reception (you will receive your package or a notification from the post office)

13 When something breakes... Ask for The Book of Defects (KNIHA ZÁVAD) at the reception Anything that needs to be repaired, has to be written in CZECH in this book. Check the guide book of the dormitory The repairman will visit you as soon as possible

14 Wi-fi connection Got an from the IT Department to your UNIVERSITY Please, check the university account regularly!! eduroam wireless network is available The wireless connection is meant to be supplementary and it does not provide all the options (e.g. IPTV does not work). Some devices (especially smartphones and tablets) have small antenna and therefore can be a problem get connected to the Wi-Fi eduroam. In all rooms, a data socket is provided; for each resident is one socket the UTP (RJ45) patch cable is required cable is offered by majority of computer shops, also in Kaufland at Spojovací three-meter cable is sufficient

17 Steps on How to Do Laundry 1. Make a reservation at the reception possible to use washing machine from 8:00 till midnight 2. Before laundering pick up the key from the laundry room at the reception pay the 30 CZK fee for 3 hours leave your dormitory card at the reception until you finish your laundry 3. Do your laundry Washing machines are labeled with a number; you are only allowed to use the one you paid for 4. After laundering return the key at the reception Penalty for delayed key return is 50 CZK for each additional hour starting immediately after it is due.

18 JAROV III.F Drying rack 1 for the double room for the whole semester You have to to pick it up in the bedlinen storage and pay the deposit: 400 CZK Take care of it - All the damages will be paid from the deposit

21 Payment Pay the whole amount (according to your Accommodation Agreement (AA) Cash Branch of Česká spořitelna (bank) at VŠE - no additional fees! At dormitory receptions fee of 100 CZK Do not forget to bring your AA with you Bank transfer from a foreign account Problems with exchange rate + credited late, fee of 500 CZK Explanation of fees here:

22 Moving within/out of the dormitory Termination of your AA stated in Article X b) of your AA: - a notice must be sent from your VŠE account to your Dormitory Manager s account moving within your current dormitory visit your Dormitory Manager s office moving outside your current dormitory follow instructions in your AA, Article X

23 Moving-out procedure The date of your check-out is January 15, 2016 Moving-out schedule will be on a notice board next to the Dormitory Manager office. Do not forget to sign up for a date and time. Before the departure day you have to: Clean up your room, drawers and desk In advance sign up for an inspection of your room (done by cleaning ladies) Return bedding, dormitory ID and keys to the Dormitory Manager Pay any outstanding fees Accommodation after January 15, 2016 You will receive instructions via from exchange@vse.cz in December 2015.
