Meeting preparation Centro Studi Galileo will dispatch a technical training manual to all confirmed participants and all participants are encouraged to familiarize with the contents of the manual prior to the meeting. Star Refrigeration will also provide access to their e-learning module on F-Gas Regulation and all participants are encouraged to complete the module prior to the meeting. 3. 2 Participants will pay accommodation (approx. 50 Euros per room and day, including breakfast) directly to the hotel using the daily subsistence allowance (DSA) which will be provided by UNEP. 4. Airport / hotel transfer Participants need to arrange their own airport / hotel transfer using the 1 day DSA of USD 319 (or 247 Euros) for miscellaneous expenses. Based on the arrival and departure times (see Annex I) and the available transport options, we suggest the following: From Milano Malpensa to Casale Monferrato (26 November 2012) Armenia By bus (leaving 12:30) Macedonia FYR, Kyrgyzstan By shared taxi (leaving around 17:30) meeting point is Terminal 1 - Exit 4 Croatia, Montenegro, UNEP By shared taxi (leaving around 20:00) - meeting point is Terminal 1 - Exit 4 From Casale Monferrato to Milano Malpensa (30 November 2012) Macedonia FYR By taxi (leaving around 4:00) or possibly by train the day before (leaving 19:02) please inform in order to adjust your hotel reservation in Casale Montferrate and reserve your hotel in Milano Malpensa Croatia, Montenegro (also possible for By bus (leaving 7:45) Armenia, Kyrgyzstan) Armenia, Kyrgyzstan, UNEP By shared taxi (leaving around 12:00) Please confirm above proposal and coordinate amongst participants. Travel by taxi The 1-way trip takes about 1 hour and the price should be approximately 120 Euros. Please confirm the price before taking the taxi. Centro Studi Galileo will arrange the taxis once they are confirmed. Travel by bus Once a day, there is also a bus connection between the Milano Malpensa Airport and Casale Monferrato. The price of a 1-way trip is approximately 15 Euros if the ticket is purchased in advance under The price of the 1-way trip is approximately 18 Euros if the ticket is purchased in the bus. Funded participants UNEP will provide economy travel and daily subsistence allowance (DSA) to funded participants in accordance with the United Nations rules and regulations. An additional day DSA will cover miscellaneous expenses including visa fees, airport transfer and local transport. 6. Visas Participants are responsible to arrange visa. Invitation and visa support letters can be sent upon request. 7. Insurance Participants have to take care of proper travel and health insurance. 8. Currency The currency in Italy is Euro. 4 9. Electrical plugs Electricity in Italy, as in the rest of Europe, comes out of the wall socket at 220 volts alternating at a 50 cycles per second.
