3 Introduction The configuration programme supplied with the CD allows to significantly simplify the unit configuration process by making the programmed setting available in the graphic mode. It can be used in 3 different ways: without the use of interfaces in local connection by means of a USB programming cable (optional) iin remote connection by means of an operating centre telephone interface In the first case, it is used to print (on screen or on paper) the list of parameters to be set manually on the unit through local or remote programming via telephone. Thanks to the programming cable it is possible to read and write the configuration, in local mode, in a fwe moments. On the other hand, through the unit Centrale it is possible to carry out the unit tele-programming on telephone line in data mode. You are strongly advised to consult the website regularly for eventual updates and new versions of the programmes. The programme license is yield free of charge to the users of our products. 4 Software Installation Insert the CD in the unit and launch the programme Setup.exe from the folder according to the language you have chosen. The following programme installation window will open: Click Next to continue. After this you will be asked where you wish to install the programme: Click Next to continue. You will then be asked to give your consent to proceed with the installation: CMF Tel 04 and CMF GSM 04 Configuration Programme V4.0 Page 4

5 Click Next to continue. Once the installation phase has completed, a new window will confirm that the programme has successfully been installed on your PC. Click Close to complete the installation. After installing the configuration programme, on your computer desktop will appear the following icon: Double click on the icon to launch the programme. 6 The Configuration Programme. Options Menu By clicking on that menu the following will open: It contains the 4 classes of selectable options: Communication port: to select the address of the port to which the programming cable or the interface of Centrale is connected Interface: the type of interface used. Print: the viewing mode of the settings (on screen or on printer) Firmware version: to select the type of unit to be programmed. By selecting Communication Port it is possible to choose which Pc serial port we would like to use to connect to the unit: Use the option No Port if you wish to use the software without connecting to the unit to be programmed. In that case it is not possible to select the nterface and the Read and Write push buttons are disabled. If you selected a communication port, choose with which interface you intend to proceed for the programming: CMF Tel 04 and CMF GSM 04 Configuration Programme V4.0 Page 6

7 The selection PC Interface allows the quick local connection to the unit by means of the dedicated USB cable (optional), whereas the selection Centrale enables the remote connection on telephone line via the Centrale interface. With the third option: you can select if you want the printing of the configuration to be on screen or on the default printer connected to the PC. The fourth option: Gives you the possibility to choose what type of unit you intend to configurate. According to the version you select some options could be disabled since not scheduled by that particular firmware version. However, if you press the push button Read, the unit directly acquires the firmware version. If in doubt, read throughthe text, modify the parameters and then programme the unit. 8 The Configurator. The data to be configurated are divided into 3 parts: Settings: this contains the unit general settings. Telephone book: this contains the phonebook of numbers to call. Input/Output: contains the settings related to inputs and outputs. In the lower part of the window there are 5 push buttons: Read allows you to read (by means of the interface of local or remote connection) the programming of the unit. Write allows you to write (by means of the interface of local or remote communication) the programming of the unit. Save to write the present configuration on the disc. Load to read a previously saved configuration from the disc. Print to obtain, on the screen or on the printer, the sequence of programmings to be manually performed on the unit. 9 Password: this is the password requested during tele-programming. By cancelling the field the password is removed and you can access configuartion directly. (*018) Line number: this is the telephone number (optional) to which the unit is connected. If present, this is transmitted during the calls in data mode together with the identifier.(*019) Silent Alarm: this specifies the time intervals between each control call. (*003) Pushbutton time: this is the minimum time the call pushbutton should be kept pushed in order to perform a call. (*004) Tele-programming: this is the number of rings the unit awaits before entering the teleprogramming (if the unit is at rest) (*008) End of Conversation: this selects the mode to use in order to end the conversation. (*009) Vocal Playback: this function allows to enable the vocal playback of the data inserted in the teleprogramming via telephone. (*034) Callback: this specifies the time interval after a request of assistance within which an incoming call causes the immediate voice connection with the lift. After this the unit returns to the rest mode. (*010) Retries number: this function indicates the number of times a call is attempted; call to which there is no confirmation. (*020) Call duration: this is the maximum time a call to the lift can last. (*024) Protocol: this allows to select the type of pprotocol used by the unit in data mode. (*029) Message terminator: this function gives the possibility to add a DTMF tone at the end of the message press 5 during voice calls, in order to allow the automatic answering machines to know when to send the confirmation tone. (*035) In case you selected CPC in the parameter protocol, in the lower part of the window you would see this table of the CPC protocol codes allocation: CMF Tel 04 and CMF GSM 04 Configuration Programme V4.0 Page 9

10 Telephone book The telephone book contains the 8 telephone numbers, eventual identifiers and a map of allocation of the above mentioned to the various types of call. In the fields Called phone number it is allowed the use of P to set the pause during the dialling of the number. The first 4 numbers are usually associated to the Emergency Call and the last 4 numbers are associated to the different types of alarms. In case one of the inputs was set on day/night mode you would also see an extra column that allows to select if the number is active (on) during the day or the night: the Credit expired SMS number is only available and enabled for GSM units. 11 Input/Output Alarm Input: this specifies the type of button connected to the management input of the assistance call. (*025) Input 1: this allows to select the function associated to the programmable input 1. (*001) Input 2: this allows to select the function associated to the programmable input 2. (*002) Battery time: this specifies how long the battery power supply must be below the attention level before generating the battery alarm. (*012) Battery level: this function allows to set the power supplyattention level before which starting the battery alarm. (*011) Output 1: this allows to select the function associated to the programmable output 1. (*021) Output 2: this allows to select the function associated to the programmable output 2. (*022) Output 3: this allows to select the function associated to the programmable output 3. (*023) Echo Control: this allows to enable the function of soppressione of the echo for the GSM units. (*026) Line status control: with this function you can set how often the telephone line status of GSM units must be checked. (*027) CMF Tel 04 and CMF GSM 04 Configuration Programme V4.0 Page 11

12 Remote Connection. If the unit you want to configurate is connected to the PC via the interface of Centrale, when you press the buttons Read or Write a window for the conncetion data is enabled: it is necessary to sepcify the telephone number to call and the eventual password to use. By pressing the button OK you will activate the connection: once you can communicate with the unit you will see the progression of the data transfer: CMF Tel 04 and CMF GSM 04 Configuration Programme V4.0 Page 12

13 Save/rescue settings. With the buttons Save and Load it is possible to either save on the disc or read the previously saved data. Print Settings. With the push button Print you can view on the screen (in reduced format) or on the printer the values to be set on the unit in order to obtain the desired configuration. 15 Load local cable drivers. Connect the USB cable supplied together with the interface to the PC and then insert the CD in the Cd player. The PC will realise the presence of a new interface and it will signal it as follows: Hence, the guided installation of the interface drivers is started: Select the option No, not now and then click Next > Check you have inserted the Cd in the cd player and click Next >. 17 Reserach of a communication port. Once you have installed the telephone interface drivers you will need to find out which name (COMx:) Windows associates to the port.
