Day 0 Jun. 7, Sun zurich lucerne After arrival and a brief drive through Zurich, we continue on to Lucerne, check-in and have dinner. (D) Day 03 Jun. 8, Mon lucerne Today we can enjoy a boat trip on Lake Lucerne and learn about the story of Wilhelm Tell. There is time for some shopping and sightseeing in Lucerne before we take a cogwheel train trip up Mount Pilatus for some incredible views. We return for a special farewell dinner. (B,D) Day 04/07 Jun., Fri strasbourg Beautiful France here we come! Today we enjoy a city tour of Strasbourg as well as an excursion into the Alsace wine country to sample their wares. Day 05/08 Jun. 3, Sat speyer Mannheim This morning we have a walking tour to explore Speyer, one of Germany s oldest cities, and its historic cathedral which shelters tombs of eight Holy Roman Emperors and German kings. In the afternoon we see the lovely university town of Heidelberg and return to Mannheim. Day 0/09 Jun. 4, Sun RüDESHEIM KOBLENZ In Rüdesheim join us for a tour through the village and a visit to the Music Museum. We continue through the dramatic Rhine Gorge, an especially optional Pre-Tour zurich - lucerne - interlaken June -, 0 ( days) Day 04 Jun. 9, Tue INTERLAKEN LUCERNE INTERLAKEN Today we do a circle drive via some scenic mountain passes to Interlaken, visiting the pilgrimage town of Einsiedeln en route, then check in and have dinner. (B,D) Day 05 Jun. 0, Wed INTERLAKEN An all day excursion to the resort of Wengen and then by train high up into the Alps to see the famous Eiger/Moench/Jungfrau Peaks. Around dinner time we ll sail downstream again. Day 08/ Jun., Tue COLOGNE DüSSELDORF We start the day exploring the sights of Cologne, including the impressive Gothic Cathedral, which is the largest north of the Alps. We continue downstream past the industrial area called the Ruhr Pot and stop at Düsseldorf for a tour. This evening we have the Captain s Dinner. Day 09/ Jun. 7, Wed VOLENDAM AMSTERDAM Today join us for a special excursion of the Dutch Waterland, showing us some of the scenic areas around the Ijseelmeer, followed by a tour of Amsterdam. After dinner we have a special Dutch Folklore evening to enjoy aboard the ship. Day 0/3 Jun. 8, Thu AMSTERDAM CANADA/US This morning we bid farewell to Amsterdam and transfer to the airport for our flight home. 6 FACTS YOU SHOULD KNOW RESERVATIONS AND PAYMENT: A deposit of $500 per person is required at the time of making a reservation on this Special Travel International (hereafter called STI) tour. A second payment of $500 will be due months prior to departure. These payments form part of your final payment which is due months prior to departure. Travel documents will be sent to you approximately 4 days prior to your trip departure, provided full payment has been received. TOUR PRICES: All tour prices for land arrangements are based on rates effective at the time of printing and are expected to be in effect at the time of departure. Should these rates change, it may be necessary to surcharge the price of your vacation. Should the tour price increase by more than 0%, the passenger shall have the right to cancel within seven days of notification without penalty. CANCELLATION AND REFUNDS: Notice of cancellation must be made in writing. The effective cancellation date is the date when written notification is received by STI. The deposit of $500 is non-refundable. The following scale of charges will apply when cancellation is received within 90 days of departure: 89-0 days prior to departure 50% days prior to departure 75% 9-0 days prior to departure 00% RESPONSIBILITY AND LIABILITY: STI acts only as an agent in securing all services related to the tours described in this brochure, including transportation, sightseeing and accommodation. STI shall not be responsible or liable for any loss, cost, damage, injury, delay or expense arising from the use of any conveyance, accommodation or service or from acts of God, strikes, weather, quarantine, accidents, sickness, government regulations, insufficient documents and any loss/expense resulting from the above contingencies shall be borne by the tour member. In the event it becomes necessary or advisable for the comfort of the passenger, or for any reason whatsoever, to alter the itinerary or arrangements, such alterations may be made without penalty to the operators. Additional expense, if any, shall be borne by the passenger. The right is reserved to withdraw any or all tours should conditions warrant, and also to decline to accept or retain any passenger as a member of the tour. In such instances, full or equitable amounts will be refunded. INSURANCE: STI recommends that each tour participant has health, cancellation, interruption, accident and baggage insurance for the duration of his/her travel (in situations where insurance is not included in the tour price.) TRAVEL DOCUMENTS: It is entirely the passenger s responsibility to possess whatever documents and visas required by the law of the countries visited on the tour. AIRLINE RESPONSIBILITY: Any airliner carrier providing transportation in connection with these tours is not to be held responsible for any act, omission or event during the time the passenger is not on board its planes or conveyances. The passenger contract in use by the airlines concerned, when issued, shall constitute the sole contract between the airline and the purchase of these tours and/or passenger.
