4 24 years ago the first World Tournament took place in Zell am See - In the meantime it has been developed into Europe s largest icehockey tournament for Youngsters. 5 tournament information registry Registry notifications for participation in WORLD TOURNAMENT XXV shall include the team name and the asked age group and may be submitted per mail not later than October 15 th 2015 to: Hockey World c/o Peter Buchmayr, MBA per per Address: Steinergasse 5 A-5700 Zell am See Austria Player lists of all participating teams reflecting last name, first name, jersey number(s) - for both sets of jerseys, player passport number as well as team photograph and logo must be provided and reach the organizer by not later than February 1 st 2016 deposit & entry fee A guaranteed deposit fee of Euro must be submitted within 10 days after confirmation by the organizer. If the team cancels the participation (for any applied reason) after 10 th of January 2015 the whole amount of 400 will remain with the organizer. The entry fee for the tournament is 300 Euro and is taken for ice rink rental and organisational matters such as time keeping, refereeing, etc. The difference amount to the entry fee of 100 Euro will be returned to each team upon arrival.

7 IN THE EVENT OF ANY DISCREPANCY IN THE TRANSLATION OF THE RELATING 'MODE OF PLAY' AND TOURNAMENT REGULATION FROM THE GERMAN ORIGINAL, THE ORIGINAL WILL BE CONSIDERED AS THE APPLYING INSTRUMENT. tournament regulations 1. Eligible to participate are all players within the birth-years indicated herein for participation within the prescribed age group. Every player requires a player's passport from his IIHF-member national federation. 2. Net playing time will be 2 x 15 minutes (STOPTIME) for all age groups. There will be no pause or intermission at half-time. Three minutes on-ice warm-up time is set out prior to each game. 3. Participating teams are seated within four groups (A-B-C-D) at four teams in each group. The winner will be determined based on Round Robin system of play within two rounds of competition - the Preliminary Round as well as the Final Round. a) preliminary Round - every team plays against all other teams within its own group b) Final Round - similarly ranked teams from all groups play against each other. Every participating team will thus have six games, three games in the Preliminary Round as well as three games in the Final Round. 4. The standings within a given group will be determined as follows: Win - 2 points Tie - 1 point Loss - 0 points The winner of each respective group is the team with the most points. In the event two or more teams have the same number of points for any rank in the standings, the following applies: a) The position within the standings will be determined upon the direct games played between the deadlocked teams b) In the event no decision can be made after a) above, the goals for and against between the tied teams will be considered as a tie-breaker. The goals scored against will be deducted from the goals scored, the team with the higher remaining + goals (goals for) or lower - goals (goals against) has preference and will be ranked ahead. c) In the event of a further deadlock, the goals scored (for) will be divided by the goals scored against - the team with the highest quotient will have ranking preference. 5. In view of the reduced tournament playing time, called penalties will be served at a half-time ratio, i.e. a minor penalty will have been served after one minute. A game misconduct results in a given player being ejected from that particular game while a match penalty will have the player out for his team s next game. 6. Every team must bring two different-coloured game jerseys. A light coloured (home team) as well as a dark coloured jersey. The home team is the first team mentioned in the schedule. 7. Ice re-surfacing will take place after every game. 8. The tournament will be played in accordance with the statute of the IIHF (International Ice Hockey Federation), the current valid international rules and in line with the playing regulations of the ÖEHV (Austrian Ice Hockey Federation) 9. In the event of a protest, same must be filed with the Tournament Board of Directors within 30 minutes of completion of such game. Any such issues will be resolved by the disciplinary Committee comprised of the Tournament Board of Directors plus one representative of the competing teams. 10. All participating teams concur, that in the event of a general sponsor or the participation of a no-profit social institution providing medial benefit for the tournament, their self-adhesive logo sticker or similar, in modest size, may be placed on player equipment (helmet, for instance). 11. In case of injuries, first aid will be provided by the Red Cross Zell am See staff on hand at the arena. It is the responsibility of each team to arrange for their own insurance in case of a major or complex injury.

9 some useful information about Austria geography AUSTRIA is the country right in the heart of Europe. Our neighbours in the north are Germany and the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary in the east, Slovenia and Italy in the south and Switzerland on the west side. Austria occupies an area of 83,855 sqkm extending for 560 km from west to east and 280 km from north to south. The Alps are a dominating feature of the country. Two-thirds of Austria is mountainous, with three chains running west to east and forcing most east-west travel into clearly defined channels. The High or Central Alps in which the land of Salzburg is embedded form the highest peaks in Austria. Many of the ridges in the Central Alps are topped by glaciers and most of the peaks are above 3000 metres. North-south travel across this natural Area is limited to a handful passes and road tunnels. Climate Austria comes within the central European climatic zone, though the eastern part of the country has what is called a Continental Pannonian climate, characterised by a mean temperature in July above 19 C and annual rainfall usually under 80 cm. Austria s average rainfall 1371 cm per year with the west of the country (where Zell am See is) receiving significantly higher figures. Visitors need to be prepared for a range of temperatures which should be in our area somewhere around 15 C for the time of the World Tournament.

10 Population World Tournament XXV Austria has a population of approx. 8 million; On average there are 94 habitants per 50 km. Native Austrians are mostly of Germanic origin. Vienna and the south east have the most ethnic diversity; industrial expansion in the late 19th century brought an influx of European migrants, particularly from the Czech-speaking parts of the former Habsburg Empire. Language The national language is GERMAN, though for a small country, there is a surprising diversity in regional accents and dialects. This is due in part to the isolating influence of high mountain ranges, causing language to evolve differently in different communities. Fortunately for you as a visitor, Austrians can switch to High German when necessary and most of them can speak some English, -too. Young people are usually quite fluent in English. As might be expected, understanding of English is more widespread in cities and tourist areas. Hotel receptionists and restaurant servants almost invariably speak English, French or Italian. visas & embassies Visas are not required for EU, US, Canadian, and Australian or New Zealand citizens. Please Contact the Austrian Embassy in your country for further details when needed. Most of the foreign Embassies are in Vienna. So there shouldn t be any problem for you if you need the assistance of your embassy. credit cards & ATM`S Using a credit card can limit or even remove the need to carry traveller cheques. Not only can you pay for many goods and services by card, but you can also use them to get cash advances at most banks. Automated teller machines (ATMs) are extremely common and are accessible 14 hours a day. They are linked up internationally and have English (Italian, French) instructions. You can usually take up to Visa, Euro Card, MasterCard, American Express and Diners Club are equally acceptable. time Austrians use the 24-hour clock for anything written down, instead of dividing the day up into am and p.m. Austrian time is GMT/UTC + 1 hour. We ve got summertime where the clock goes forward one hour on the last Sunday in March and back again on the last Sunday in September. Electricity The current used is 220 V/50 HZ AC, Sockets are the round two pin type which is standard through most of continental Europe. US and Canadian appliance will need a transformer, if they don t have built in voltage adjustment.

11 Salzburg province Salzburg province (Salzburger Land) has something for everyone. To the east of the city of Salzburg (which is well known as the town in which WOLFGANG AMADEUS MOZART was born in 1756) you will find a sublime landscape of mountains and lakes to the south are found mightier mountain ranges, towering above and spa resorts. Salzburg province also has the lions share on the Hohe Tauern National Park in which Zell am See is one of the towns ideally situated. It enjoys a picturesque location between its name sake lake, the Zeller See and the concave slopes of the Schmittenhöhe Mountain. the tournament site Zell am See The tourist resort Zell am See in the heart of the Austrian Alps is, on account of its spectacular location and tourist possibilities the ideal site for a major sports event. Our town, a well known two-season resort at 750 meter (2 300 feet) above sea-level, is located between Lake Zeller See and the alpine Schmittenhöhe adjoining the Hohe Tauern National Park. The Europe Sport region Zell am See - Kaprun is not only a descriptive name but actually represents the 56 different sports which can actively be pursuit in the area. getting to Zell am See and Away Air travel is the quickest, easiest and most times cheapest means of travelling, if you are coming in from outside Europe it may be cheaper to fly to a European gateway City (Zurich, Frankfurt) and travel on from there with international flights to SALBURG AIRPORT. the Arena All games will be played at the Zell am See Hockey Arena which has a capacity of spectators, Sufficient locker rooms, VIP facilities, office of the organizational committee, press and media facilities with reserved grand stand access, restaurants, buffet, snacks and refreshments will be available for players and fans. Game data and scores etc. will be processed electronically and will be displayed on electronic game board. Weights, sauna and indoor pool are available on premises. See further details!! The arena is centrally located in town and, on account of its close proximity to areas of interest to short-term visitors, avails itself as an ideal facility for such on event.
