Example of accommodation 2 This typical German apartment is simply furnished and located in the heart of a newly emerging scene called Neukölln. It is a two bedroom flat, one bedroom being a large, bright and comfortable guest room. The cosy kitchen is the heart of the apartment and guests are welcomed to use the facilities provided. Wi-Fi is available. The hostess has travelled a lot herself and therefore she is very cosmopolitan and hospitable. Neukoelln is currently going through an image change from a deprived area to an up and coming area for young professionnals. Within the area one can find great little restaurants, ice cream parlors and cake factories with lovingly selected foods and exceptionally tasty menus. 2 Example of accommodation 3 This spectacular flat around the Crelle-Kiez in Berlin Schöneberg is certainly one of a kind! The host has not only decorated it lovingly with ancient treasures and fancy fabrics, but also included some unusual ideas to make his home exceptional - you can call it a piece of art, no doubt! The host is a very sociable, friendly and knowledgeable man. He is always excited to welcome guests interested in Berlin and occasionally even enjoys a trip through his favorite parts of the city with his guests. Example of accommodation 4 One of our largest guest apartments is located right in the centre of Berlin, a street called Brüsseler Strasse. There are single and double rooms available. The apartment offers the facilities of a small guest shower room, balcony, internet and of course a kitchen. The hostess of this apartment is known for her friendly and almost motherly social skills and often welcomes young guests. Within walking distance from the apartment there is a wide range of shops, chemists, supermarkets, shopping arcades, all kinds of takeaway dining options, restaurants, bike rental, a large cinema and a lot more... 3 Example of accommodation 5 Our apartment at 'Mexicoplatz' is located in the south of Berlin. The bright, spacious apartment is very cosy and you will find the rooms to be highly interesting and worth discovering. Bookcases stretch from floor to ceiling and the exciting choice of books is unbelievable! There are single and double rooms available here; meals included. Further facilities of the apartment are a balcony, TV, internet and of course a kitchen. The host enjoys a lot of private hobbies next to working every day - guests are easily feeling at home here and a lot of our previous guests mentioned having had very interesting conversations with the host! Also recommended is a visit in Düppel at the observatory! Six S -Bahn stops from 'Mexicoplatz' is the beautiful town of Potsdam offering a wide range of beautiful boat and/or day trips through the countryside around Berlin. Only one S-Bahn stop away from the apartment is the station 'Zehlendorf ' where a range of fantastic shopping and dining is endless. Example of accommodation 6 A family of four is at home in this apartment at 'Solonplatz' in Berlin Weissensee. The apartment is cosily decorated and the facilities offer the use of the large family kitchen and their living room. Our guests previously enjoyed the family orientated living at this apartment and were often included as members of the family whilst staying. The family is very welcoming and enjoys involving their guests in conversations, cooking, meal times and cosy DVD evenings. There is a single room available here. The family is very sociable and often welcomes friends and family to their home; they are interested in music in general and travel a lot. The two children visit the nursery daily and follow a routine during the day and of course bed time. The environment is very versatile. One of the interesting things to do amongst other things is visiting the park near 'Weissensee' with its open-air theatre, the famous milk house, the bread factory (art and culture with a stage and cinema), the Jewish cemetery and the cinema Toni. The lake 'Orankesee' and the beach on 'Weissensee' are easily accessible by foot.

4 Example of accommodation 7 This charming apartment is located at Winterfeldtplatz in Berlin Schöneberg. Guests enjoy a large bedroom with their own balcony here whilst the host lives in the smaller of the two rooms; kitchen and bathroom are located between the two bedrooms which provide further privacy for each person. Our hostess is a friendly and warm hearted person who often maintains contact to her guests long after their departure. The nearby streets 'Winterfeldtstrasse' and 'Goltzstrasse' offer a good selection of traditional German pubs and clubs, multicultural restaurants, a variety of shops selling individually designed items and antique shops. 'Maaßenstraße' is a small shopping area within walking distance as well and walking down this street will take you to the very central underground station 'Nollendorfplatz'. The famous 'Kurfürstendamm', the Victory Column in 'Tiergarten' and 'Potsdamer Platz' are easily accessible from there. Example of accommodation 8 Our hosting family here lives idyllically in a beautiful house with garden and has always worked very closely with free beds berlin. Single and double rooms are available with use of the guest bathroom provided. 'Friedenau' is characterised amongst other things by the 'Rheinstrasse' as a popular shopping street. Along with its partially protected historic houses and gardens, the many small residential streets have a quiet character. The watchmaker and jeweller Hans Lorenz, for example, founded his business in 1874 on Rheinstrasse 59, which is still operated there, now in its fifth generation. The Berlin museum of Clocks is now integrated in the jewellers. There you can admire the 'Berliner Friedensuhr'. The area of 'Friedenau' has always attracted artists, writers, scientists and politicians. In the nearby cemetery numerous famous personalities are buried such as the actress Marlene Dietrich, the photographer Helmut Newton and the poet Paul Zech. Also worth seeing is the 'Little Theatre' with its 99 seats.

5 Example of accommodation 9 This charming apartment is located close to 'Savigny Platz' in Berlin Charlottenburg, city centre of previous West Berlin. The apartment compromises of a lovely guest room, the hosts living area, a cosy kitchen and a balcony. The host is a friendly person, who is very involved with the local church and voluntary work related to it. The adjacent streets 'Kurfürstendamm' and 'Tauentzienstrasse' offer endless shopping opportunities with their hundreds of shops recommended is a visit at the famous shopping centre 'KaDeWe', previous shopping centre of the West. However, if one is not keen on shopping then a visit at the following places might be interesting: the popular 'Europa Center', the old fashioned cafe 'Kranzler', Theatre of the West at the Berlin Zoo and its train station. Popular underground and S-Bahn stations such as Grunewald, the Olympic Stadium, the radio tower, the ICC exhibition centre are within easy reach in a few stations from 'Savigny Platz'. Example of accommodation 10 This spacious apartment is based in a newly refurbished typical German building located right in the heart of Berlin. The floorplan of this flat is very suitable for guests and host! The guest room is located right next to the entrance hallway of the apartment, which can be booked either as single or double room. A big and bright hallway room serves as living room and dining area leading to the other side of the flat, where kitchen and bathroom are based. Guests are welcome to smoke in the kitchen. The hostess and mum of a son living with her, speak very good English and French and guests often enjoy interesting conversations with them. In close proximity to the apartment is the park 'Wilmersdorf' and its park at 'Gleisdreieck', there is also the Museum of Transport and Technology- all worth a visit. Also good to know is that there is a weekly market twice a week at the nearby 'Winterfeldtplatz' selling a variety fresh food, flowers, clothes and accessories.

6 Example of accommodation 11 This beautiful apartment is located in Lübars - in the very North of Berlin. Lübars is one of the eleven districts of Berlin Reinickendorf. The hosting family of this apartment lives in a modern, one storey family home. Guests are able to book the whole of the first floor, compromising of two bedrooms and a fully equipped kitchen. The hosting family and their dog live on the ground floor of this beautiful house. Lübars is a wonderful and very green little area. The vast fields and meadows give you the feeling of vacation on the edge of a wonderful city. Lübars is not only a place charming its visitors with its untouched nature, but there is also much to discover. The opportunities for walking, horse riding and bicycle tours are endless. There is also a beautiful public bathing beach in Luebars, but also a trip to the leisure and recreation park or at the family farm is worth a visit. Example of accommodation 12 The hostess of this Steglitz apartment is French, but speaks fluent German and intermediate English. She highly enjoys welcoming culture and music-loving guests and often joins in on sightseeing tours of the city - her newly adopted home! The bright guest bedroom of this apartment is very suitable for couples. Other apartment facilities available for use are a kitchen and a dining room. The surrounding architecture of the buildings in the area can be described as typical German - very desirable old architecture due to the size and brightness of the rooms. Right on the doorstep one will find the famous shopping mile from reaching from shopping centre 'Schloss' to shopping centre 'SSC'! There are numerous shops, restaurants and coffee shops. Not to be missed is the Botanical Garden. 7 Example of accommodation 13 There are single and double rooms available in this fantastic two-storey apartment in Neukölln. Rooms can be booked with breakfast on request. There is a guest bathroom and a small garden in the yard, where smoking is permitted. Due to the hostess being a trained nurse and therefore having a high interest in health questions she offers health courses all year around in the gym of her apartment. Next to German she also speaks English and Spanish. This magnificent park is ideal for barbecues, jogging, biking, rollerblading, sunbathing, kite flying and for relaxing walks. The Grade II listed airport building however is purely used for special events such as festivals, concerts and fairs such as the famous BREAD & BUTTER events. Example of accommodation 14 This charming apartment is located on the ground floor. The guest bedroom is the larger of the two bedrooms and is therefore suitable as a double room. Other facilities available for use are the lovely kitchen and a bathroom. The area of this apartment is absolutely fantastic and guests will be spoilt for choice when it comes to things to do. There is the lively 'Bergmann-Kiez', ideal for fashion fans, people enjoying a cocktail in great atmosphere and a fabulous variety of multicultural restaurants. However, sports enthusiasts will also not be disappointed with the magnificent 'Tempelhofer Park'. Also good to know is that there is a flea market at 'Marheinekeplatz' every weekend - so if none of the above is catching your interest, this might! Friedrichshain is very multifaceted and extremely contradictory. Here you meet all kinds of people, from house-owners to squatters. Public transportation links: Underground station 'Samariterstrasse' U5, circle line S41, S42, S8, S9, S85, Tram M10, M13, 21, bus 240, 347, and U1) Non smoking / No pets / shared flat / Meals / Wi-Fi Also worth knowing The massive investors project Mediaspree with its impressive buildings such as O2 World, Universal Music, MTV or office lofts, which strongly fought by citizens' initiatives and demonstrations, can be visited along the river Spree. Nearby, in 'RevalerStraße' the listed RAW terrain is located, which is used for creative, charitable, social and cultural purposes. The adjacent streets are flooded with gastronomy, individual fashion-, and jewellery shops, tattoo and piercing shops and clubs. There is a popular flea market at 'Boxhagener Platz', the park Friedrichshain, the East Side Gallery and a lot more to discover. The former east district 'Friedrichshain' and the former west district 'Kreuzberg' are united by the beautiful Oberbaumbridge. Example of accommodation 16 The beautiful apartment is quiet located in Prenzlauer Berg, the trendy district of Berlin. It has a large kitchen, a balcony and a nice guest room which can be also booked as double room. There is a balcony and a guest bike. Our hostess has already lodged many of our guests. She speaks some English, French and Russian and she is an open minded, informal & relaxed person. There is a lot of nightlife, individual shops, varied food and the famous Mauerpark. Must see: the Open Air Karaoke every 2nd Sunday per month and the big flea market. Delicious food and lots of beautiful things as gifts for the family, you can get there.

Our host lodges guests for over 13 years. He is very engaged to bring his country closer to Berlin newcomers and explore the city together with them. The apartment is ideally located with the river Spree on the doorstep. We warmly recommend the boat trips offered there, for example to 'Müggelsee', to 'Köpenick' or via the city center to 'Charlottenburg'. Within walking distance you reach the district 'Kreuzberg', 'Treptower Park', going across the bridge you ll find the big train station 'Ostkreuz'. Three very lovingly furnished single and double rooms, guest bathroom, a large kitchen and a spacious living & dining room are situated on the 1st floor. The 2nd floor is expanded for groups up to 30 guests, with 'two bed' up to 'eight bed' rooms, balcony, two bathrooms and a huge dining room. The hosts even offer tours of Berlin. They can speak several languages and cook professionally, delicious and varied meals for their guests. Every room, kitchen and bathroom open onto a 14-meter long, narrow hallway. Single and double rooms, also with catering, can be booked. Small groups have easily space. The two hosts are technically very gifted. They put their heart and soul into their apartment. Their green thumb complements any room. For city lovers and sports enthusiasts of all kinds, the 18-acre nature park 'Südgelände' and the huge park on the former airport 'Tempelhof' is absolutely worth mentioning. With its attractive deckchairs, numerous shopping opportunities and a diverse choice of food it is worth mentioning. The 'Teltowkanal' connects the Tempelhof harbor with the Potsdam 'Havel' as well as the eastern 'Dahme'. In addition, you will reach the city center in a few minutes by underground.
