Combining the needs of the companies and skills, know-how and background of the students. Using the written descriptions

Background and competitor survey, and education 1. e.g. the state-of-art and aims of the companies 2. user interviews used later in creating user personas 4. Presenting the results to companies 5. Companies and students agree on further focus and next steps (expert assistance) Educational focus: e.g. understanding users and consumer behavior, project work, design processes, product development, idea generation techniques and service design.

Final presentation event where the results are presented to companies and stakeholders. 13 DesignCamp evaluation and results Number of higher education students participated: 45 applied, 6 selected Companies happy about the added value gained and the concrete outcomes Companies liked the new perspectives and ideas new ways of working created an opportunity for a small-micro enterprise to try and use external experts for problem solving. Interest towards the concept: 45 students from different universities applied The students felt they learned a lot and the perspective to multi-disciplinary cooperation changed The company cases were challenging but rewarding, educative and inspiring.
