2 Vocational Education Centre Sedu forms Seinäjoki Joint Municipal Authority for Education together with Vocational Adult Education Sedu is situated in the western part of Finland, in South Ostrobothnia

3 Vocational Education Centre Sedu as VET provider vocational upper secondary education for more than 4000 students in 43 study programmes in 14 different locations Fields of Study: leading to 25 vocational qualifications provides work for 400 teachers and other members of staff Social Science, Business and Administration, Arts and Crafts, Social Services and Health, Natural Resources, Tourism, Catering and Domestic Services, Technology and Transport Sector.

9 Sabela: This program is great for those who like to be in an international environment. You get to meet and work with people with different cultures, languages and backgrounds, and you get to learn a lot from them, which is a big plus, bearing in mind that it s a business program where you will have to deal with different kinds of people in the future, and the sooner you get in touch with other worlds, the more you ll learn and the more experiences you ll get!

14 What have we done so far After just 1,5 months of studying, the students planned and organized a pop-up event, a small shop + café for two days

15 They planned what they would sell and at what price, where to get the products, how to promote the event and of course, they served the customers (and earned some money)

16 We spent two days in Vaasa promoting our programme in KnowHow Education Fair and also in Opinlakeus Fair in Seinäjoki

17 The students worked one week in different S-markets in Seinäjoki on the Kauppaan Duuniin period. They did all kinds of work duties in the shop.

18 We visited Tuuri village for one day, got to know the different kinds of companies there are and we saw more closely Hotel OnnenTähti, the Tavarapuoti and the Art Gallery Matti Toivola.

21 This week the students are working in our SeduShop in Koulukatu

23 Later in the spring the students will have an eight week on-the-job training period. They can choose themselves where they want to do it, as long as it is within retail business. They will also have two skills demonstrations during their on-the-job period: Customer Service and Services and sales in retail trade.

24 Next year the students will do one on-the-job training period abroad, for example in Malta

25 Lotta did her on-the-job trainig in Malta working for Debenhams. She will graduate this spring.
