He has a proven track record of numerous leadership positions at prominent healthcare institutions. He is focused on technology that drives business value. His strong understanding of the mechanics and challenges of the Healthcare industry has played a tremendous role in the success of his career. Mr. Alali specializes in project management of information technology solution implementations for Healthcare Providers, Payers & Diagnostic Imaging centers. He founded Wyze Health Technology, LLC in 2006: a healthcare IT consulting practice with accomplishments in over 20 healthcare facilities and health insurance companies (healthcare payers). Charlie has successfully managed large scale programs for major Wall Street firms including: Salomon Brothers, Deutsche Bank, Lehman Brothers, World Street, SIAC, JP Morgan Chase, Morgan Stanley and Credit Suisse. He has managed projects "front to back" and worked side by side with trading and sales, portfolio management, prime broker, derivative trading, equity research, middle and back-office operations, IT organizations, and numerous stakeholder and business sponsors. His primary focus is to help organizations and teams with adopting Agile practices and achieving leaner product development methods. Although his broad area of expertise includes mid-organizational and team-level Agile coaching/mentoring, he views himself somewhat differently from the conventional definition of a 'coach' by offering a lot of practical hands-on expertise, leadership by example and offering practical guidance to team members, POs and Scrum Masters. His particular area of competence is rolling out and maintaining the Scrum framework at single and multi-team levels as well as enhancing the Scrum team operational model with KANBAN, by formulating what is called, ScrumBan. He is an active member of NYC Agile community, where he is known as a big proponent of community-wide, cost effective Agile education. 10 PMINYC & NYU-SCPS Project Management Speed Mentoring Event, March 20, 2014 Josh Lerner, PMP, CSM CEO, Lerner Management Consulting Topic: PMINYC: NYU-SCPS: PMO & PM Life Cycle Past President 2012 N/A Mr. Lerner is the head of Lerner Management Consulting, Inc., a company that specializes in Project Management, Executive Coaching, Software Development, Training, PeopleSoft Implementations, and large scale System Projects. He has over 20 years experience working with clients throughout the United States and international business communities, in financial services, government, information technology, and education sectors of business. Mr. Lerner served as an Executive with the Metropolitan Transportation Authority Business Service Center, where he was responsible for managing the largest PeopleSoft Shared Services Project in the history of the United States within the public sector, managing over 200 employees and consultants. He also helped build this organization from the ground up with a handful of other Executives, which is now one of the seven New York City Metropolitan Transportation Authority Agencies. He has headed up many State and City government technology projects, partnering with United States Department of Motor Vehicles Jurisdictions, United States Department of Homeland Security, FBI and Department of Criminal Justice Services. Mr. Lerner has also implemented project management methodologies and setup PMO's for organizations, responsible for ensuring best practices and processes supporting the Information Technology Project Life Cycle. Mr. Lerner has been an Instructor for over 18 years, delivering PeopleSoft Training as well as Project & Portfolio Management courses (7 PDU course) based on PMI s IPECC model from the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK), educating learners on how to effectively create project plans, organize activities, build a work breakdown structure, and complete simple to very complex projects for organizations. Mr. Lerner has also been on the Board of Directors for the Project Management Institute (PMI) New York City organization since 2008, and most recently, the President & CEO of this organization comprised of over 3,000 professionals and executives. 11 Lawrence Mantrone, PMP, CSM Founder & Managing Director, Adaptyze LLC Topic: Leadership Skills PMINYC: Agile Program Manager NYU-SCPS: Adjunct Instructor Lawrence Mantrone is the founder and managing director of Adaptyze LLC, a management consulting firm specializing in change management, project management and enterprise risk management. Among his areas of expertise is the improvement of information technology project management processes to foster enterprise agility, align project portfolios with strategic objectives and better manage project risks. He is an adjunct instructor at New York University s School of Continuing and Professional Studies (SCPS), teaching courses in information technology management and Agile project management. Lawrence pursued several careers in the human capital management consulting field at Buck Consultants, LLC, a subsidiary of Xerox Corporation, including pension actuarial consulting, software development, information technology management, project management and business process improvement. Lawrence was awarded an M.S. degree in Management and Systems in January 2010 from NYU SCPS, concentrating in enterprise risk management. He also holds a B.S. in mathematics from Brown University. Because of Beth s unique blend of business management and technology skills, she has been exceptionally successful in assisting organization in the establishment and leading of corporate-wide PMOs. She has experience in partnering with senior executives with large, complex initiatives across the US, Canada, South America, Europe, Asia, and India. She has worked with small, medium, and large corporations in successfully. Beth has hands-on experience in the following industries: finance, banking, insurance, retail, utility, telecom, manufacturing, small business, academia, and the entertainment/luxury industry. Fred was also a principal of Global Web UnLtd. Inc., a consulting organization, where he improved business operations and increased profitability for a variety of companies in his work as a Consultant, Project Manager and Analyst. In 2000, Paula founded Athena Enterprises Inc. specializing in Project Management Consulting, Coaching and Training. Currently Paula is the President/CEO of Athena Enterprises Inc.; in addition Paula is a Certified Leadership Trainer for Dale Carnegie. Since joining PMI NYC in 2006, Paula has been an active volunteer and advocate for the chapter and is a Certified Project Management Professional (PMP). Paula has an MBA in Management Information Systems from Pace University and has worked in the project management field for twenty years beginning with Philip Morris International, then JP Morgan. Some of Paula s consulting clients have included: Guardian Life Insurance, Park Avenue Securities, MMLISI, ING and National Financial partners SI. Clark Webb, PMP, CCM Senior Project Manager, MTA Topic: Successful IT Implementations Using Project Management Principles PMINYC: VP Operations Clark Webb is currently a Senior Project Manager at the MTA. Prior to working there he has worked in the IT field in various capacities as Programmer, Analyst, Project Leader, Project Manager and a Product Support Manager on a variety of projects. He has worked for companies in the private sector such as J.P Morgan, Software Design Associates, Merrill Lynch, PeopleSoft and Credit Suisse in addition to the public sector including the Department of Labor and Department of Education as well as a private consultant for HBO. Projects varied but project management principles contributed to the successful implementations of such projects as the Syndication Transmission System, Central Liabilities System, Stock Certification System, Non Negotiable Instrument Tracking System, HBO Billing System as well as a statewide Unemployment Insurance Financial System in Alaska and a statewide Student Tracking System in Louisiana.
